i think its normal. the cut subcutaneous nerves are healing and coming to life again. i had a BCC, a type of low grade skin cancer resulting from too much sun, it itched for months. doc advised anti histamine tablets, like the ones you can get over the counter for hay fever and the regular application of moisturiser cream such as cerave or aveeno. it helped a lot.
