A 66-year-old British man, identified only as Mr. George, suffered a broken right arm following a violent altercation at a beer bar in Soi 11 on August 6th, 2025. The incident, reported at 3:46 AM, brought a fast response from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit and Pattaya City Police.
According to witnesses, the incident began when Mr. George, visibly intoxicated, became allegedly enraged after Ms. Sureerat, a 39-year-old barmaid, was unable to serve him quick enough due to attending other customers. In a fit of anger, he allegedly verbally abused her before punching her in the face. A nearby customer intervened, pulling Mr. George away, causing him to fall and injure his arm. No further assault occurred, contrary to initial assumptions, said Pattaya police.
Rescue personnel provided first aid at the scene, where Mr. George was reported to have gestured defiantly with his middle finger at bystanders attempting to assist and described as hostile to both media and rescue teams. He was urgently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The unidentified foreign individual who intervened remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
CCTV footage captured the incident and has been collected by Pattaya City Police as evidence to ensure a fair investigation. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to establish the full circumstances and determine appropriate legal action. They have invited all parties involved to the Pattaya police station for mediation.
