On January 21st, 2025, Lumpini police officers responded to a fatal road rage incident on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok.
A car driver, Seree (surname withheld), allegedly rammed his vehicle into a motorcyclist, Rittisak (surname withheld), 48, following a heated altercation.
Witnesses reported the two had an earlier collision, leading to an argument. The motorcyclist reportedly recorded the car’s license plate and slapped the car’s window. The driver retaliated by kicking the motorcycle, causing it to fall. When pursued, the driver struck the motorcycle again, fatally injuring Rittisak before fleeing the scene.
Police later apprehended the suspect at Sukhumvit Soi 4 and charged him with “intentional homicide” and “reckless driving.”
No alcohol or drugs were detected in his system. CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts are being collected to ensure a thorough prosecution. The suspect, who is of Indian-Thai heritage, reportedly was given bail under strict conditions.
