Thread: Indian Tourist Allegedly Robbed of 132,000 Baht Gold Necklace on Pattaya Beach

An Indian tourist in Pattaya claimed he was robbed of his 132,000-baht gold necklace by three transgender women on Beach Road around midnight, January 20th, 2025.


At 12:20 AM, Pattaya police received a report that an Indian tourist had been robbed of his gold necklace. The incident occurred along the Pattaya beachfront, opposite the Hard Rock Hotel. Upon receiving the report, police immediately went to the scene.


The victim, identified by police only as Mr. Pravin, a 42-year-old Indian national, was found at the incident scene along with his Indian friends. He informed the police that he owns a hotel business in India and had come to visit Pattaya for a well deserved vacation.

While strolling along the beachfront to enjoy the nightlife, he was approached by three transgender individuals, whom he said offered their sexual services to him. They also hugged and touched Mr. Pravin to try to entice him and his friends. However, Mr. Pravin refused the offer and quickly walked away.


The suspects acted as if they were angry and quickly fled the scene. When Mr. Pravin later checked his belongings, he discovered that his 40-gram gold necklace, which he claimed was worth over 132,000 baht, was missing. He was certain that the group of transgender individuals had stolen it. He and his friends attempted to search for them but were unsuccessful. He then decided to report the incident to the police.

Pattaya police are gathering statements from witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage, which is expected to have captured the suspects in the act. Authorities are now working to track down and arrest those responsible.
