After a brief scuffle, the teen stands up to walk home only for the suspect to charge at him and plunge the blade into his back.

A 14-year-old Australian-Thai schoolboy was stabbed to death by a fellow pupil outside a housing estate in Thailand on Tuesday.
The critically injured schoolboy, who has an Australian father and Thai mother, managed to stagger toward the village security guard but collapsed on the steps of the nearby shop, where he died before medics could arrive. The suspect reportedly fled the scene on a motorcycle.Police Colonel Thanapon Klinkesorn, superintendent of the Sattahip District Police Station, said they received a report at 8.31pm. They later detained the suspect on suspicion of murder.Officers arrived and found the young boy laying on his back in a pool of blood. “I saw him walking out of the housing estate alone at around 8pm,” Village security guard Nattapon Saenyot said.

Lost the fight, so had to stab the winner in the back as he walked away.

Speaking of 14 year old murderers, whatever happened to that kid that shot up.... Paragon or Central world a year or so ago. Haven't anything about him since.

took words out of my mouth, tragic and all too common, not just in LOS, I sometimes wondered if youth are being desensitized by the media?

As a schoolboy in London the were fist fights but knife crime was for organised gangs like the Krays , Richardsons and their enforcers. Until the 30 year sentances of the great train robbers few criminals or Police carried firearms. After the fall of the wall in 1989 there was the flood of cheap E European waepons.

And that video recently with the cops running away from the pissed up Belarussian.

Wouldn't have been much fun being him when they finally restrained him.

Like watching those wildlife videos when a pack hyenas get to work on their prey.

The Firearms act of 1920 was in response to the flood of weapons returning from WWI.

Shotguns were the weapon of choice in the Kray era.

Many such guns were banned after Hungerford.

Handguns were mostly banned after Dunblane.

Gun crime in the UK is negligible and the fall of the Berlin Wall was not a factor in any legislation nor gun crime statistics.

Added: The gun murder rate in Thailand is 30 times that of the UK.

The last couple of weeks has seen a flurry of US-style mass shootings.

    .....

Gun crime in London rose twice as fast as the rest of the country last year, according to a Telegraph analysis of official data.

The number of gun offences has started to increase after a dip during the pandemic, when street crime plummeted due to multiple lockdowns.

Last year in London, gun crime increased by just under 20 per cent, from 1,009 offences in 2022 to 1,208 in 2023. This was double the rate of 8.8 per cent nationally.

This counters the trend of the previous decade, which saw police in London nearly halve gun crime – from 1,959 offences in 2013 to a low of 1,009 in 2022.

This has been, in part, due to measures such as Operation Trident, the Metropolitan police’s gun and gang crime unit. While the Met has been criticised for its overall approach to crime, its successes against organised crime has been praised by the official police watchdog.

By contrast, gun crime outside London has been on an upward trajectory, increasing by 23 per cent since 2013. It meant that by 2022, the north east, north west and Yorkshire and the Humber had higher rates of firearms crimes per head of population than London.

This phenomenon has been linked to the growth in county lines gangs, which effectively exported drug-dealing and crime from cities to small urban and rural towns – often sparking turf wars with local criminals.

The National Crime Agency (NCA), which deals with serious and organised crime in the UK, said suppressing the availability of guns is a national priority. It said firearms get into the hands of gangs through criminal networks, which bring them over from Europe hidden in vehicles. Most are handguns, the NCA said.

Because of the UK’s draconian gun laws - seen as some of the toughest in the world - criminals are likely to use what they can acquire, rather than what they want. Weapons are often used on loan from other gangs or criminals who hire them out, rather than held by the individual shooter.

Offences involving imitation weapons jumped by 13 per cent to 2,130 in the 12 months to March 2023, up from 1,889 in the previous year. This means the use of such firearms has risen to its highest level since 2008, when 2,561 were used in offences, according to police data.

Police chiefs believe the success in closing down other markets for weapons such as conventional and converted guns has fuelled demand for alternative sources, including 3D-printed firearms.

Graeme Biggar, director general of the NCA, said: “It’s a product of success. It’s because we’ve actually suppressed firearms use so very well.”

Wopping great "Zombie "Knives seem to be the weapon of choice nowadays.
Thankfully in more civilised parts of the world it's still fisticuffs one on one.

A sorry state of affairs in reality.
