Three men died and three others were seriously injured in two related incidents in the Mueang district of Prachin Buri province yesterday.
According to a police report, the first shootings took place in a lane in Na Mueang sub-district, when a man, only identified as ‘Surat’, opened fire on a group of men, killing one and injuring another.
The then suspect rode his motorcycle to a grilled chicken outlet and opened fire into the shop, injuring three people, including the shop’s owner.
Police say, however, that some of the men in the shop fought back and managed to injure the gunman with a knife.
All four injured men were rushed to hospital, but two of them, including the shooter, were pronounced dead after arrival.
Police said that they are trying to ascertain the motive behind the shootings.
