Parents accompanying their children on the Purple, Blue, Yellow and Pink lines on National Father’s Day on December 5 will be exempt from paying train fares, Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit announced yesterday.
The children simply present their parents at the ticket booth at any electric train service station to receive the free tickets. Each parent will receive one ticket.
Motorists using the first stage, second stage and the Bang Pa-in-Pak Kret expressways will also be exempt from tolls on the same day.
All national parks, botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuaries will be open to the public free of charge.
