The women were said to have been found at a nearby bar in Krabi, Thailand, before Sergeant Major Saneg Jualaong came to their rescue.

Tourists who passed out from binge drinking have been piled into wheelbarrows by police and taken back to their hostel in Thailand.

Two women wearing swimwear were photographed unconscious on trolleys being pushed by a policeman on the party island of Koh Phi Phi on Friday.

The German and Australian women, aged 19 and 23, were said to have been found at a nearby bar before Sergeant Major Saneg Jualaong came to their aid with a pushcart.

After wheeling the two women back to their hostel, he said: “I know what it’s like to have a daughter and how much we worry about them.

“I thought about their parents back at home. They were both too drunk to speak and too drunk to stand up. In that condition, they could have an accident, such as falling into the sea or falling down steps. I made sure they returned safely to their beds.”

Police Colonel Surasak Jaidee, the superintendent of Koh Phi Phi Police Station, added that a trolley had been used because all the routes were pedestrianised and a motorcycle was “unable to transport unconscious passengers”.

I don't think their hostel beds are the safest place for 2 unconscious females found at a bar.

Drugged... more methanal madness pouring down from Laos. It's only a week or so since global news outlets were reporting about half a dozen young Western women dying after drinking at bars in the region.

Good that they're okay, it just seems pretty fokin' irresponsible to cart them off to their beds while unconscious without knowing what the situation is.
