After experiencing cool weather for just a couple of days, temperatures across Thailand are forecast to rise again from Monday, before a new cold front from China is expected to arrive, according to Somkuan Tonjan, head of the Weather Forecast of the Meteorological Department.

He said that, although Thailand has officially entered cool season, weather conditions are fluctuating, weakening the cold front from China and resulting in nation-wide warming, occasionally punctuated by rain.

He said that a new wave of cold weather from China is anticipated next weekend adding, however, that Thailand will be cooler through December and January.

By then, the minimum temperature in most of the country is forecast to drop to about 21oC, but not below 20oC, as recorded in the previous years.

In northern and north-eastern provinces, though, they may drop below 20oC and much lower in mountainous areas, he added.

Thailand will be warmer next week as cold front weakens
