A 55-year-old Scottish female tourist in Pattaya caused a scene after becoming agitated and erratic, allegedly due to excessive cannabis and prescription medication use.
On October 12th at 12:38 PM, Pattaya police received a report from hotel staff about a foreign female tourist behaving erratically. The incident took place at a hotel on Jomtien Beach Road, Pattaya.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the woman, identified only as Ms. Tracy, a 55-year-old Scottish tourist, crying and appearing frightened in her hotel room, which was in disarray.
Authorities reportedly discovered a jar containing marijuana along with a complete set of smoking equipment and several unidentified personal prescription medications. Officers attempted to calm her down before escorting her to the reception area. Suddenly, Ms. Tracy began shouting and behaving uncontrollably, causing officers to quickly subdue her before anyone got hurt.
An unidentified friend of Ms. Tracy from Denmark told police that he has known Ms. Tracy for over 15 years. They had been vacationing together in Pattaya for two days, when Ms. Tracy had purchased marijuana to smoke, after which she allegedly started exhibiting strange behavior.
Ms. Tracy began isolating herself in the room and became paranoid. Concerned for her safety, Ms. Tracy’s friend alerted hotel staff to call the police.
As police were escorting Ms. Tracy to their pickup truck, she became increasingly agitated. Officers struggled to help her into the vehicle as she resisted their attempts.
Ultimately, the police took her to a medical facility for treatment. They suspected that Ms. Tracy’s potential pre-existing conditions, medications, and her excessive use of marijuana may have caused the incident.
