I'd trust Topper's experience ahead of yours.

Not least because none of the three have ever been your job title.

You'll probably never have a grasp on how much of a total dick you come off as with that comment.

    Oh well.

Which three? I count Topper plus me… equals two.

which title do I have? Custodian?

It’s irrelevant really, Topper made an observation and I replied with one of my own. Both are equally valid as lived experiences within Thailand.

Why does that become “ come off as a total dick”?

    genuinely perplexed.

You don't even need an opposable thumb to count them.

As I understand it, a teacher at a school is normally called "Kru". A lecturer at a higher education institute is normally called "Ajarn". A foreign English language teacher in a school is often called "teacher" (eg teacher john).

Yes, but it can also depend on the subject or language being taught (Japanese teachers are called sensei, for example, and Chinese teachers are called something like Laoshu), and even how good or enthusiastic the particular student is at that particular language.

Also, the age and/or experience of the person teaching can play a part in what they are called. An older, experienced teacher in a school might be called ajaan even when the other teachers are called kru.

Oh, I’ve never been a teacher, Ajarn or Khru? Gotcha, again kinda irrelevant to knowing what teachers I knew in Thailand were called.

why do the mentally challenged think that an ad hom is a good way of distracting that they have no arguement?

Probably just frustrated 65 year old drunks trying to present themselves as something they palpably are not, would be my guess.

Right, so neither of you have an answer to the ridiculous question of why an alleged non teacher cannot know anything about what teachers may or may not be called in Thailand. You do realise that’s a logical fallacy you’re employing? In fact, it’s not dissimilar to a Thai girl spitting at her farang atm “you not Thai, you not understand Thai culture”.

Deny all you want. I made a simple observation based on my lived experience. Somehow that offends you. The simple matter is you know very little of me, and I’m not inclined nor incumbent to provide any details that will highlight just how absurdly wrong you are. You rail at Chitty for making up details in his phantasies about you, yet you do exactly that same thing.

    Nauseating, isn't it.

Not as bad as 'I'm not inclined nor incumbent...' though.
