Bolt Drivers in Pattaya Allegedly Attack Rival Motorbike Taxi Drivers

Ride-hailing Bolt drivers allegedly attacked a group of Win (motorbike taxi drivers) in Pattaya over customer and territorial disputes, resulting in two people being injured.

Yesterday, on June 3rd, at 10:30 PM, two motorbike taxi drivers, Mr. Paitoon Wengwipha (50 years old) and Mr. Anant Panyim (35 years old), visited the Pattaya Police Station to lodge a complaint against an unidentified group of individuals.

According to their account, the group were allegedly Bolt drivers who physically assaulted them.

The group had about 7-8 men, according to Mr. Paitoon and Mr. Anant. The two said prior to the incident, some Bolt drivers had entered a condominium area, which was the Win drivers’ territory according to them, leading to a small verbal altercation between a different group of Win drivers and the Bolt drivers.

Mr. Paitoon and Mr. Anant continued that the two groups initially decided to go their separate ways. However, shortly after the altercation, the Bolt drivers allegedly returned with baseball bats, iron rods, and knives, and suddenly attacked Mr. Paitoon and Mr. Anant although they were not involved in the prior incident.

Mr. Paitoon was hit in the head and suffered a significant gash and had to get seven stitches, while Mr. Anant suffered mouth injuries and had to get three stitches. The suspects fled the scene after the incident.

Pol. Capt. Natchapol Sangsi, a deputy investigator who received the complaint, said police were working on identifying all suspects.

Given there is no functioning body in Thailand that might approximate to a community police force, I rather think your suggestion, Monkey-boy, is somewhat fanciful. But then, it is merely two troops of monkeys squabbling over a banana or two so who gives a fuck.

My guess is these two c u n t s are lying, they started a fight and suddenly found themselves losing, so ran to the filth and tried to make themselves look the victims.
