Inside the world's sex capital: City dubbed 'modern day Sodom and Gomorrah' with highest number of prostitutes anywhere

Pattaya in Thailand has a reported 27,00 prostitutes, roughly one for every five people living in the east-coast city visited by more than a million men each year

    • "Good guys go to heaven, bad guys go to Pattaya” reads the popular slogan on t-shirts flogged to tourists .

If so, there are plenty of bad guys: every year more than one million visitors a year pass through the Thai resort known as the world's sex capital.

Many men are drawn there by one thing only.
Pattaya has a reported 27,000 prostitutes, roughly one for every five people living permanently in the east-coast city that has been likened to a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah.
Oh dear, David, you really are a naive and quite innocent chap, aren’t you. A recycled, cliched and fabricated hack piece churned out as a filler for English tabloid populist press outlets pandering to ignorance and stupidity, cut and pasted by a scribbling journeyman who has never been to Pattaya or probably even Thailand except for a week or two in Bangkok informs your thinking? Clearly, despite your proclaimed seasoned traveller schtick you are evidently little more than a silly wanker.

In 2017 over 8 million visitors journeyed to Pattaya, all bar 650,000 or so came from ASEAN states, China and domestic markets, the greater proportion of whom are within tour groups sight seeing etc or as the Thai do spend their time relaxing beachside eating seafood. The mongering European, American and Antipodean market has long since evaporated and consigned to history with the remaining rump comprising in the main ageing blue collar trash. The 2008 crash with its currency falls and concomitant economic contractions killed the European demographic. Sure, wogs, desert jockeys, assorted asian scum and geriatric Europeans still whore but then they do that everywhere in Thailand.

Back in the late 1990s Chula University and other institutions estimated Thailand to have generated a working population of over 850,000 prostitutes plying their trade everywhere from rural bothies to mega bath houses in Bangkok, catering to locals and visitors alike. We intelligent expats settled here with our Thai families are cognisant of Thai attitudes and their social taboos, but only a dribbling, frazzled fuckwit with his head up his arse would attribute any value to a gutter press hack pandering to the occidental lower end.

David, I never figured you for a dickhead but there you go.

    You silly twat.

I say BS. Look if you have some check valve stuck in your brain or some weird hormone imbalance then fine. Sorry to hear it but you don't get to arbitrarily change your gender and expect to be accepted.

They can pound dirt and go seek counseling which IMHO,they need.

    1) Complete bollocks.

    2) Makes no real difference where the johns are from.

You only introduce it to mask the facts, like your comparison between the number of hookers in one beachside sleazepit in Thailand, and the number in the entire north of England.

It's really not about them 'changing their minds' either.

Do you really think someone gets their Johnson sliced up on a whim?

I'm quite surprised that a generally laid back guy like you is so vexed about this.

If I were in Pattaya I'd view this parade much like Songkran.

Time to get a few boxes of beer in and cue up some downloads.

There are very few things that frost my ass Cyrille but this is one of them. I just do not understand how this became such a huge social accept us program. My daughters, virtually all my colleagues and friends all feel the same way about it. Its funny as a human race we have to label everything so it can fit in a bucket so they can scream at the top of their lungs. LGBTQ+ now have a bucket. I still think it is a mental defect of some sort and they should be treated with drugs. That's the American way. .

Odd story, my youngest daughter was working her rotation in the Trauma ER and a transgender came in after a motorcycle accident. Apparently the patient was one who had his junk removed but his information on them said a male. My daughter said they were all a little thrown off guard about it. Of course we talked on the phone about it and had a bunch of laughs. The human race is getting weirder and weirder. I am thankful however that my time here is finite and I wont have to see a lot of what is going to happen. That's the beauty of having a shelf life.

Its SA's MO.... deflect when truth is put in front of him. Can't dazzle'em with brilliance, baffle'em with BS. SA knows exactly what the truth is. Just one trip down there and a walk along any beach area during the day, side road or at night tells the entire story. Of course, if one never leaves his gated condo and is only watching the Russian mushrooms pop around the public pool, then his scope is quite limited. Pattaya is what it is and has been and always will be.

Given that none of you harpies has visited Pattaya within the past decade, and in some cases longer than that, if at all, you wouldn't know the current reality from a fucking hole in the ground.

In the fucked up weirdo stakes I doubt you could get much weirdo than a society that has more weapons than the population, where more children die every year from gunshot wounds than any other cause of death, and are about to nominate again for POTUS a fraudulent rapist who is indicted for incitement to riot and insurrection.

    Fucking seppos, eh.

Giant Pride flag painted on hospital criticised by Health Secretary.

Rainbow mural to celebrate diversity attracts backlash as example of NHS ‘waste and wokery’

The mural on the Princess Royal University Hospital, in Bromley, south London

The Health Secretary has rebuked an NHS trust for painting a huge Pride flag on a hospital to celebrate diversity.

The Princess Royal University Hospital, in Bromley, south London, last week opened a new link-bridge which is wrapped with a giant three-sided “intersex-inclusive flag” showing the LGBT+ rainbow.

It is the first such mural on an NHS site in the country and follows months of widespread criticism from ministers, MPs and patients over health service chiefs allocating resources to what the Government has branded “waste and wokery”.

Jonathan Lofthouse, a senior executive at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest in the country, which runs the hospital, said it had “adorned the exterior of the link bridge with the Pride Flag, a permanent installation celebrating diversity”, adding: “We’re celebrating permanently.”

But Steve Barclay has led a fierce backlash against the move. A source close to the Health Secretary told The Telegraph on Monday: “This Government is investing record funds in the NHS, including the £6.6 billion extra over the next two years announced in the autumn statement.

“Taxpayers want to see that cash used for cutting waiting lists and caring for patients, not wasted on virtue-signalling vanity projects.”

The trust brought in Valentino Vecchietti, an intersex campaigner, to design the new 30-metre walkway which has taken a year to build. The trust could not provide the total cost when asked by The Telegraph.

The walkway connects the hospital’s day surgery unit with the main hospital and is lined with Pride flag-themed rainbow wallpaper inside, as well as the giant mural on its exterior.

While Vecchietti said it would “provide a gentle and uplifting space”, others questioned its impartiality.

Dr Jo Williams, a doctor who has DSD (differences in sex development), told The Telegraph it was merely “tokenism and photo opportunities”.

“Adding a letter or symbol that groups together over 40 different and complex variations of sex development, under the term intersex, which most people living with these complex conditions do not like, does more to erase their needs than it does to offer genuine inclusion,” she said.

Dr Louise Irvine, a GP and member of the Clinical Advisory Network on Sex and Gender, a group of NHS staff opposed to gender ideology, said it was “inappropriate to put this flag on an NHS hospital as it is easily interpreted as the NHS supporting irreversible medical and surgical treatments for body modification”.

The trust’s post on Twitter about the mural prompted a backlash of more than 2,700 comments. Bev Jackson, the co-founder of LGB Alliance, a group of same-sex-attracted people who oppose gender ideology, wrote: “Why did you do this? If you think it makes everyone feel welcome you are badly mistaken.”

    NHS ‘very poorly managed’
Mark Jenkinson, the Conservative MP for Workington, said: “£160,400,000,000 per year. The @[at]NHS is not underfunded, it’s just very, very poorly managed.”

Professor Clive Kay, chief executive of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The new bridge is part of our work to make sure patients and visitors have the best experience possible when they visit us. We were also delighted to be able to feature the intersex-inclusive flag as part of its design.

“In the year that the NHS celebrates its 75th anniversary, the flag’s inclusion in the building’s design is a creative and visible way of communicating our commitment as an organisation to equality, diversity and inclusion, which is a vital part of the care we provide.”

It comes after a series of controversies around NHS diversity drives. Mr Barclay “hit the roof” and ordered an investigation earlier this year after £165,000 of taxpayers’ money was spent creating a guide to advise NHS doctors to communicate with patients in a “gender-neutral” way.

The Health Secretary was also said to be “very concerned about the spiralling cost” of inclusion and diversity tsars in NHS trusts last year when it was revealed they are costing more than £8.2 million a year, while he has also written to managers urging them to cut ties with Stonewall diversity schemes.

Giant Pride flag painted on hospital criticised by Health Secretary

there are certainly signs in the uk of a swelling backlash (ooh matron!) in the uk against the incessant promotion of poofery and the tsunami of wokery by both publicly and privately funded organisations. Office buildings are starting to resemble playschools as they become festooned with rainbows flags and happy happy diversity messages and the majority of us in the uk, i.e. white heterosexuals, are the ones starting to feel excluded, as the rainbow flag immediately excludes 95% of the population.

I'm not quite sure why the strong opinions for or against, it's a fact that there are now far more gender-defining people around because they feel free/safe to 'come out'. Are there loudmouths among them, are there ones that go too far - sure, but aren't they everywhere, in all setoons of society.

I'd rather share a table with someone from the LGBTQIA++ community than a racist, Trumpist etc...

For me, it isn't about the minority of 'gender definers', it doesn't bother me whether people are male, female or other. We all are what we are, let's just get on with it.
This selection of one small section of the community on a public building, paid for at taxpayers' expense, I think is misguided.

In my experience, irrespective of where they might shove their cocks or stick up their chuffs and arses, most folk are tiresome, ignorant, silly, stupid and not a little addled.

poofs and their ilk account for around what? 3%-5% max of the population, yet account for 45% of pox cases.

is that why you want to keep promoting, celebrating and glorifying what is a rather unnatural trait? might as well promote syphillis.

Cases of gonorrhoea in England have risen 50 per cent in a year to reach an all-time high.

New figures from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) show that cases of the sexually transmitted infection are the highest since records began in 1918.

Meanwhile, the number of cases of syphilis diagnosed in England has reached the highest level since just after the Second World War.

The statistics show gonorrhoea diagnoses rose to 82,592 in 2022, an increase of 50.3 per cent compared to 2021.

Among those aged between 15 and 34, around 45 per cent of cases involved gay and bisexual men, with 33 per cent of cases involving heterosexual men and 22 per cent involving heterosexual women, the figures show.

Come to NZ, there's almost nothing but . . . for all groups you can imagine.

Still, the question of gender seems to rile more than most other issues.

A post from the biggest closeted poof on the forum. The irony is mind-numbing. Maybe you should just ban the parade and every other one that is put on by minority groups that you don't like.

They absolutely respect my stance on it. Again I am not against whatever these folks want to do to themselves, I think some may miss my point. I am just sick of all the stupid hype about it. IMHO if you were born a male or a female, no matter how much "Modifications" the individual has done to themselves they are what they are when born so they should NEVER get access to men's or women's spaces based on what they did to themselves. Additionally any sport or competition events the individual should have to compete in the gender arena as their birth gender. Its not complicated. But Nooooooo...these asshats wants special treatment.

That's what it boils down to with people like him . . . there is no 'Gay Muslim Indian taxi-driver' parade so he's all bent out of shape. Imagine the self-loathing he goes through.

These parades are similar to human-rights issues of the past . . . though that message hasn't gone through with some.
