The father of a British teenager killed in Thailand confronted the man who confessed to his son's murder on Wednesday, shouting at him “look at me in the eye you bastard”.
Steven Graham screamed in fury through the window of a police vehicle as Chaiwat Boongarin, 44, was taken back to the spot where he admitted killing Woramet Ben Taota, 16, in Lampang, northern Thailand, on May 6.
The teenager, known to his family as Ben, was beaten to death after he went missing from his home in Lampang.
The 16-year-old, who was a dual British Thai national, was found dead in a grove in the Ban Than district on Sunday morning.
Boongarin, who had been released from prison eight months ago, confessed to killing Ben over what he claimed was a drug deal which went wrong.
Investigators arrested Boongarin, who was said to have been known to the victim “for a long time” after finding Ben’s body.

According to local media reports Mr Graham was taken to the scene of the killing on Tuesday, where he confronted Boongarin as he arrived in police custody.
As the vehicle pulled up and stopped Mr Graham approached the rear window and shouted: “Look at me in the eye you b---ard. Take his mask off, I want to see his face, you’re a coward. You’re a coward. F--king look at me you b---ard.”
Boongarin was then seen in handcuffs standing alongside police officers, pointing to a moped thought to belong to Ben which was taken away as evidence.
Officers investigating the killing discovered that Ben’s phone and money were missing from his shoulder bag when he was found, suggesting he had been robbed.
Ben’s girlfriend, Yam, also 16, who is thought to have been one of the last people to see him alive, was found safe and has been ruled out as a person of interest by police.

The Thai authorities are also seeking another girl, Suraphltchaya Khamsa, 16, who officers believe was also romantically linked to the British teenager.
Police Colonel Sittisak Singtongla, superintendent of the Mae Tha Police, said Ben had been found with blood stains “all over his face”.
He added: “The face and head were found to have been beaten with a hard object until swelling and bruising was caused and there was also a deep wound in his face. The body has been taken to hospital for an autopsy.”
Police said Ben had said goodbye to his mother on Saturday evening, telling her he was “going to work with friends”.
Ben’s grandmother, Lilian Graham, said she believed her grandson was lured into the forest where he was murdered.
“Ben was with a girl and they went to the forest to meet a man. But something must have happened. And the man killed Ben,” she told MailOnline, adding: “It’s been a real shock. We are all devastated. Ben’s father Steve is going to Thailand tonight.”
“I wanted to go out there with him to support him. But he wouldn’t let me. He said the flight was too long and it would be too upsetting.”
Ms Graham said her grandson was born following a long-distance romance between her son Steve and the boy’s mother, who is known as Ooy Taota.
Pictures on Ben’s social media show him riding motorcycles and competing in motocross competitions.
