76-Year-Old Man Passes Away While Driving in Hot Weather in Sattahip

An elderly Thai man tragically passed away while driving his motorcycle on a Sattahip road. Police suspected that he might have suffered a stroke due to the hot weather.

Sattahip rescuers transported the body of Mr. Somsak Changmai to Sattahip Hospital. The 76-year-old man was found deceased about 10 km away from the hospital on a road inbound to Pattaya yesterday afternoon, March 25th.

Rescue workers told local media that their attempt at resuscitating the man had failed. Somsak was spotted by other drivers on the road. He was lying unconscious beside his fallen black-blue Yamaha Spark motorbike.

Sattahip Police said Somsak may have passed away from a heat stroke as he was driving in hot weather. Though, the officers would later perform an authopsy on his body to find the exact cause of his death or if the man had any congenital disease.

Had a fellow that worked for me years ago pass away on his way to work. A co-worker saw his car on the side of the freeway and stopped. Engine was still running and the transmission was in "park." He had a brain embolism and must have felt it coming on and pulled over. RIP David.

Yes, I remember when that Eastenders star had to help her husband who had to pull off the road with a bad case of "pancreatitis" whilst driving.

But it was a medical emergency. Her lawyer said so.

An old Austrian friend died at the wheel while on the way to the shops with his wife. Luckily it just rolled off to the side of the road and stopped.
Drank like a fish and smoked like a chimney. He use to tell me "The doctor said if I dont stop drinking and smoking with my bad heart it will kill me. I will not stop doing what I like and if it kills me I died enjoying myself." He was a real character and a very funny guy with a belicose laugh. Survived WW2 as a child in Austria. Later migrated to Australia working all around the outback as a rigger. He led a very interesting and at times a hard life but really did it his way. A great story teller and great company.
    RIP Alex. Not forgotten.
