Pattaya Nightclub Guards Reportedly Attack Indian Tourist over Argument

An Indian tourist said Sunday that he was attacked by a group of Pattaya nightclub guards on Walking Street over what he says was a small argument.

Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon rescuers responded to an assault report on Walking Street in South Pattaya at 4 AM.

The assaulted tourist, only identified as Mr. Prince, was being treated by a good Samaritan at the scene after sustaining head injuries and bleeding. The 32-year-old Indian tourist claimed to the police with the assistance of a female friend translating that he had been attacked by the guards of a nearby Indian nightclub on South Walking Street.

Mr. Prince stated that the guards attacked him when he walked up to them to complain about what he thought was their poor manners and attitude. He briefly had a small argument with the guards before it escalated into an assault with them attacking first, said the tourist.

Pattaya Police told The Pattaya News that they would summon the accused guards and the tourist to the police station to settle the dispute. The name of the disco has been withheld as Pattaya police continue to investigate the incident.

Obviously their appropriate response in these circumstances would have been to throw themselves at his feet and beg his forgiveness.

It would occur to most that walking up to bouncers to give them some lip isn’t the brightest move.
