22 children injured in school van accident in Nakhon Ratchasima

Twenty-two school children were injured, mostly suffering bruises, in a road accident involving a school van in Non Thai district of Thailand’s north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima on Thursday morning.

The driver of the van said that he was picking up kindergarten and primary students of the Sai Mit Non Thai School in Kampang sub-district.

As the van was approaching a bend in the road, he said that he suddenly lost control of the steering and the vehicle skidded off the road and tipped onto its side before mounting the verge. He claims that he was not speeding.

A school escort and the driver then helped pull the panicked and crying children out of the van and alerted the emergency services, who arrived at the scene shortly after and had all the children taken to the district hospital.

Police said they will question the driver and the teacher escort before pressing any charges.

On Saturday night, a passenger van heading toward Nakhon Pathom from Amnat Charoen district drove into a roadside ditch on the Friendship highway in Sikhio district of Nakhon Ratchasima and caught fire, burning to death 10 passengers and the driver. Only one passenger survived.

..."suddenly lost control of the steering"...

I do battle with these jam-packed, grey school vans every time I drive through Korat on school drop off/pick up truns. They stick a flashing orange light on each corner of the van's roof and seem to thing this gives them the right to pull out in front of you, cut you up, undertake at speed and just generally drive like lunatics. They stand out as particularly aggressive drivers and there is a lot of competition in Korat.

I know Non Thai, about 30 kilometres out of town on the Khon Kaen road. I once delivered a puppy (a sister of our Tommy) to a guy living out that way... he was later arrested by the immigration police on an 11 year overstay, a record I think.

what the heck are 22 kids doing in one van? How many seatbelts were fit for the van. Then as Mendy says lost control of the steering wheel. Its beyond belief that anyone with one brain cell would believe that.

The stupid chickenhead was in all probability too busy looking at his phone as they neared the bend and ploughed straight ahead, and the sudden change of direction as he belatedly attempted to correct his error caused the overloaded van to overturn.

The driver is obviosly at fault, but will wheedle his was out of any prosecution.
The children are lucky to be alive, thankfully the gas tank did not explode.

Well, he’s a Thai and he’s fucked up because he is a useless, reckless and careless twat, so he’s bound to be lying.

    Suddenly lost control, my arse.

The little fuckers simply cannot accept responsibility for being fucking idiots and there it is. Snivelling, squirming, hypocritical, emotional and intellectual cowards, loso, hiso, it don’t matter, they’re all the fucking same.

He is, of course, lying through his remaining teeth.
