Cold weather forecast on Sunday for most of Thailand

Temperatures in most of Thailand, except the south, are forecast to drop by 2-6oC on Sunday, due to the arrival of a strong new cold front from China, the Meteorological Department reported today (Saturday).

In the northeast, the mercury is forecast to fall by 4-6oC, whereas, in the northern, eastern and central regions, including Bangkok and its suburbs, temperatures are expected to drop by 2-4oC.

Heavy rain, due to the north-easterly monsoon looming over the Gulf of Thailand and the south, is forecast for southern provinces and this may cause flash flooding at mountain bases and river overflows.

Rough seas and strong winds are forecast in the Gulf, with 2-metre waves and even rougher seas in stormy areas. People living along the eastern coastline of the south are warned of the danger of storm surges.

Small vessels are advised to remain ashore.

7:36 am here in Khon Kaen and a beautiful sunny morning. Would not mind it if it was like this all year round.

It is a beautiful sunny 13c morning here. I’m with you on keeping it like this year ‘round. I like wearing my warm jammies at night.

And your Big boy pants during the day. It is a pleasure dressing like an adult again.

Well, after one of the coolest periods in a long time, it is warming up again here in Sakon Nakon. It was 33C yesterday after several weeks of 24-26C. Last night was a loy warmer too but still no need for a fan.

Another benefit of the cold heather.
Wife gets up every morning and starts a fire. She cooks scrap meat for the dogs, but me being top dog (most of the time )
and because I have been a good boy (most of the time) got pork chops on bone for breakfast.
Sprayed with olive oil, spencle salt , pepper and oregano. served with a dash of lemon.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

The dogs loved the bones. After the porkchop bone when I tried to give Kee Noi a piece of rice cake, she looked at me like I lost my mind.

Not sure what the temperature is here in Khon Kaen, but it was the coldest I felt this year. And it's very windy.Has been windy for a few days now.
Not sure if I am wimpling out as I am getting older . Back in the US (Up North) weather like this we would put on our bathing suites and go swimming. Now I run out, and run back in.
Wife went out and started a fire, I hung out with her long enough to have my coffee, and back in I run.
Don't want to ruin my boyish complection.

Was 10.5c at 07:00 west side of Udon Thani, 09:45 its still only 18.2c, loving it, I fear we will suffer for this when summer arrives, but will enjoy while it lasts, never seen it so cool this time of year.

Cool here in Nongbua too. At 1130 the gf is still shuffling around in her jacket and so far the shower has seen no action. Beautiful and warm in the sunshine while the air remains cool and a fair breeze blowing. I'd be happy with this all year if only someone else would water the garden for me.

I don't know if "cold" but instead "cooler" would have been the right word.

Our main shower is 8kw, just about useless when its this cool, instant heaters are only good for ~ 10c differential....

There is that! spend a good hour every day watering the garden, worse things to have to do I guess.

Yeah I probably spend a few hours a day watering and grounds keeper stuff. Actually quite enjoyable with all the dogs following me around chasing birds. Imagine the alternative. Working in an office or unable to go outside.

Wife is moaning that it's a lot colder again in the village. I reminded her that it is -3 and Snow here in Bavaria.
