It might well have been his personal protest against the war with Ukraine as his girlfriend wanted him to go back and join the army

The greater majority, indeed probably overwhelmingly so, of the Russians flocking to Thailand for their holidays, particularly the Siberians escaping winter, are all supporters of Putin’s war which they have been brainwashed into thinking is justified on the basis that Eastern Ukraine is Russian and Russian speakers there have been tortured and murdered by Ukrainian fascists. The 1994 Budapest Memorandum ensuring Ukraine’s right to sovereignty is no longer valid because of this ‘oppression’ of Russians.

It is impossible to dissuade them of this and the Russians living in Thailand are now sympathising with their comrades in Russia - they think sanctions are unjust and that the West are hypocrites particularly the Americans because they have killed thousands everywhere.

Russia is a rogue state and its lumpen masses subscribe to the propaganda that Russia is a lone country fighting for its independence against the West.

Stupidity and ignorance is their creed and there is nowt anyone can do to educate them.

As the Ukrainians rightly conclude, Russians are cockroaches and as such one can only squish the fuckers.

It sounds like you discuss the Ukraine invasion with a considerable number of Russians on an almost daily basis.

Yet, frankly, I suspect your entire readership here knows that's complete BS.

As you do regarding Thais, you've just spoken to one or two and are vastly over-generalising.

There is a core of Russian residents I have known for nigh on 10 years, I have witnessed their grandchildren grow up, I have conversed with their children who graduated from the local international schools, I have chatted with them as they have returned from their long sojourns back in Russia seeking respite in their holiday homes from the winter, so, yes, I have had an opportunity to gauge the feeling in Russia now that COVID isolation is no longer the case. The residents were mostly anti Putin but as sanctions bite and their families in Russia are now affected materially the continuous stream of propaganda is such that they are now closing ranks and prefer to ignore reality and side more with their kith and kin.

Now fuck off Cyril, you pointy- headed little twat. Russians are like everyone else, they believe what they want to believe and are content to suck up Putin shite because no one wants to accept that the entire civilised world thinks Putin, his army, his government, his bureaucracy and most of his people are a fucking diarrhetic stain on the world.

    You dozy little prick.

Cyril lives his isolated little life unhampered by any personality.

My reference was of course to those graduating from their high schools who went on to university. The thing is, whereas Cyril is the sort of chap who is perennially sidelined in social interaction by his inadequacies I actually engage.

The thread has got somewhat distracted from this relatively young man who has thrown his life away in a moment of madness. Who knows why he did such a terrible thing. Did his girlfriend just ended the relationship? Did he discover she was unfaithful? Was he high on drugs? Was she his girlfriend or just his latest paramour from walking street? When the lady is found we may find the cause. What we do know is that he was a human being with a mother father and probably siblings that will be devasted by this. Not all Russians are pro war putinists. He may well have been in Thailand fleeing conscription from the war. What ever he was his is still another wasted life.
The irony of life is some cling to it with every ounce of their being, while others fritter it away.

    Agreed.

Dunno why so many posters are such utter crunts about such matters.

I can only conclude that they are really committed utter crunts.

It was lucky that he didn't land on a child or someone else.
Very traumatising for people who witness an even like this too. I remember a man jumping about 25 storeys from a building where I worked, a couple of limbs broke off on impact. I was lucky enough not to have witnessed the event personally, a couple of others who saw him drop and land were badly affected.

Sentimental claptrap. The vast majority of Russians are little more than cattle content to graze while their leader’s regime of tyranny provides fodder for them. Russians have happily tolerated Putin while they slaughtered thousands in Grozny, while they invaded Georgia, while they killed thousands in Syria, while they sponsored Serbia in the extermination of Bosnians, and now Kazakhstan’s embryonic democracy is feeling the jackboot of Russian thuggery in much the same way any democracy was throttled by Putin’s puppet in Byelorussia. And because Putin’s puppet in Kiev got his sorry arse kicked out of Ukraine and was compelled to scuttle back to Russia, the cvunt invaded the Crimea - and not a fucking peep from all those fluffy, peace - loving Russians.

Despite the sappy crap peddled by fuckwits on this board, most Russians support Putin and are loyal to mother Russia as it resorts to medieval thuggery as an extension of its foreign policy.

Russians are the enemy, and as long as they support the destruction of Ukraine they are no more than cockroaches or walking bags for food awaiting transformation into fertiliser. And every swinging dick that is content to travel to Thailand on those charter flights is having a larf enjoying a Ruble propped up by Putin and grateful to him for it.

Five million Ukrainians are refugees and a further five million are without any heat, power and running water because the majority of the stinking Russian peoples want to see them crushed.

So, fuck your mawkish baloney over that imaginary demographic that doesn’t exist in Russia - sure there are brave souls who rebel but they are a tiny minority. And those who fled Russsia to avoid conscription? They were more than happy to enjoy the fruits of Putin’s savagery and couldn’t give a fuck about what he did but now that they might actually have to pay the piper they are offski, but it’s only to save their cowardly hides and not out of any new found political conscience.

Russians have always been the threat since 1945 but now we in the West are having to do something about it, finally. Khrushchev in 1963 was just the beginning.

    Slava Ukraini!
