Chinese man gets his finger chopped off and held captive in Pattaya allegedly by rans

A 41-year-old Chinese man was held captive in Pattaya and got his finger chopped off allegedly by a ransom gang who demanded 30 million baht, according to Pattaya police.

The victim’s Thai girlfriend, Ms. Alisara Supasiribundit, 20, contacted Pattaya police to find her missing Chinese boyfriend, Mr. Ren Haibd, today, October 31st, after her boyfriend suddenly vanished at midnight yesterday, October 30th.

Ren disappeared along with his black Toyota Fortuner, according to his girlfriend.

Then this morning, Ren’s younger brother contacted Alisara, saying his Chinese brother was kidnapped and showed a video clip of him being tied up with duct tape over his eyes and his finger on the left hand getting cut off and bleeding heavily. The footage was sent to Ren’s brother via Telegram with a ransom demand of 30 million baht in exchange for Ren’s freedom.

Alisara and Ren’s brother transferred 50,000 baht three times to the suspect/suspects through a Crytocurrency exchange totaling 150,000 baht.

Police Region 2, Chonburi police, and Pattaya tourist police searched the house Number 51/60 in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi, today and rescued Ren. His pinky finger on the left hand was chopped off, according to police. He was safely transported to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital to receive treatment.

Ren’s black Toyota Fortuner was discovered near the Mabprachan Reservoir. Officers from the Forensic Division were collecting fingerprints in the house and the victim’s cars to identify the culprits as of press time.

Abductors of Chinese man in Pattaya may be Chinese nationals who illegally stay on student visas, “Big Joke” says

The suspects who abducted a 41-year-old Chinese man for a 30-million baht ransom may be Chinese nationals who illegally stayed in Thailand with student visas, according to Deputy National Police Chief Surachate “Big Joke” Hakparn.

The abductors have been identified by police, according to Big Joke, but have not been revealed to the press. Some of them are Chinese nationals who hide in the kingdom with student visas, and some have overstayed for more than one year.

An investigation found that the suspects extended their visas at an immigration center in Udon Thani province, while the victim extended his in Phrae province. Big Joke said he would inquire with the Udon Thani and Phrae immigration commissioners on why the suspects could have their visas extended despite the fact that they were not students.

Big Joke also ordered relevant officers to investigate if the victim had a conflict with the suspects about illegal businesses such as a scam call center gang or a drug cartel.

Today, November 1st, the Chonburi forensic team went to search a house Number 12/306 in the Huai Yai subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi, after knowing that the victim had been held captive there before being moved to house Number 51/60 in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, Chonburi.

The Chinese victim was abducted from Walking Street in South Pattaya, according to a police report.

A robe, duct tape, and a knife, which the forensic team believed was used to cut the victim’s pinky finger, were kept as evidence.

Big Joke said only small details could be revealed as of press time. One suspect was arrested this morning but not immediately identified, notes TPN.

One alleged Chinese abductor involved in ransom and abduction case caught in Bangkok by Pattaya police

A 30-year-old suspect in the abduction-ransom of a Chinese man in Pattaya has been nabbed in Bangkok’s Ekamai district today, November 1st.

The Chinese suspect Mr. Zhang “Tatao” Delong was arrested at a condominium in Bangkok by a combined team of Police Region 2, Chonburi Investigation Police, and Pattaya Police.

He is accused of abducting 41-year-old Chinese national Mr. Ren Heibo from Walking Street in Pattaya and holding him captive for a ransom of 30 million baht.

As of press time, Tatao still reportedly denied being involved in the abduction and the amputation of the victim’s finger, but police were confident in the evidence, which included CCTV footage of the suspect hanging out with the victim in Pattaya.

The victim reportedly happened to be the suspect’s friend.

Tatao is currently being detained for overstaying in Thailand for more than 400 days, according to Pattaya police. An arrest warrant for another accomplice is forthcoming.

As I said from the outset, the victim is a crook and the perps were Chinks.

Just another Chinese gang of scammers resident in Thailand doing what they do.

But the big question is, just what the fuck are our illustrious immigration police doing in letting a bunch of Chinks, obviously not academic types, remain in the Kingdom on spurious education visas.

So education visas should only be given to people wearing glasses and bow ties, then.

Would that include people 'studying' Muay Thai?

Don’t be sooo fucking naive. Education visas are a well known route of last resort to remain for no-hopers who cannot qualify on any other grounds. That a crew of Chink swinging dicks without a fucking academic bone in their yellow bellied bodies should game the system so easily calls into question the Thai competence……or willingness to take a ‘consideration’ before issuing the visa.

    Sometimes you have a point.

Sometimes you're just deliberately being a dick and making no sense.

At least I hope, for your sake, that it's deliberate.

I know someone who paid extra for his "muay thai visa" so he can study it online.

I'm not sure that's the big question.

Police hunt for another Chinese suspect in abduction and ransom case in Pattaya

Pattaya police issued two arrest warrants for two Chinese suspects who allegedly abducted a 40-year-old Chinese national from Pattaya Walking Street and amputated his finger for a ransom.

The Pattaya Provincial Court on Tuesday, November 1st, issued two arrest warrants for 30-year-old Chinese suspect Mr. Zhang “Tatao” Delong and another Chinese suspect, Mr. Zhang Weje, for allegedly kidnapping, detaining, and causing harm to Mr. Ren Heibo for a ransom.

Tatao had already been arrested and is currently detained for overstaying in Thailand for more than 400 days on a student visa, according to Pattaya police. He still denied both allegations as of press time.

Pattaya police are hunting for Zhang Weje. Reports said that the abductors knew the victim.

Names - Zhang “Tatao” Delong and another Chinese suspect, Mr. Zhang Weje - now as Zhang "Da Dao" Delong and Zhang "A Tang" Wenjia

Two more Chinese suspects caught over kidnapping
    23 NOV 2022

Two more Chinese suspects allegedly involved in a businessman's kidnapping in Pattaya were arrested on Tuesday.

The alleged victim, a 40-year-old Chinese national named Ren Haibo, was kidnapped for a 35-million-baht ransom demanded by Zhang "Da Dao" Delong, 30, and Zhang "A Tang" Wenjia, 27, both of whom were charged with unlawful detention.

Both suspects allegedly admitted to the crime, saying that they had a conflict with the victim over money generated by call centre scams.

According to the investigation, Da Dao was the last person Mr Ren saw before going missing, and A Tang was listed as the renter of the house where he was held captive in Bang Lamung.

The police will revoke Mr Ren's and his brother's visas as they are suspected of involvement in the call centre scam.
