Intoxicated Greek tourist dies on hotel floor in Pattaya

An intoxicated 54-year-old Greek tourist died after collapsing on a hotel floor in Pattaya.

Sawang Boriboon rescue services were notified of a foreign tourist who passed away on a hotel floor on Thepprasit Road in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung, yesterday night, September 15th.

The tourist was a greek man named Mr. Konstantinos (last name withheld pending family notification) (54). He was found lying upward and topless on the hotel floor, wearing dark shorts. His body was transferred to Banglamung Hospital.

The hotel’s security said the man seemed drunk and came to sit on a couch in a lobby. While he tried to get back up, the Greek man suddenly collapsed and died.

His body remains at Banglamung Hospital as of press time. The cause of his death is still a mystery.

The name of the hotel was withheld pending a further investigation, said Banglamung police.

Does not sound like alcohol poisoning, though I would imagine that contributed, perhaps a heart attack?

How long will folks be able to ignore the elephant in the room? its now common for people to keel over and die, athletes to die from heart conditions, kids the same, what has changed in the world to bring this about? I'm guessing only the unvaxxed will be able to answer this truthfully?

Lots of people out there are pointing the finger at the vaccines for the seemingly unusually high number of heart attacks we see weekly on our sports fields and elsewhere.

    Another nutter.

Are we really seeing a 'seemingly unusually high number of heart attacks we see weekly on our sports fields and elsewhere'? or are you just making up shit?

Yes, we are and you would have had to have been living under a rock or a bit stupid not to have noticed this. Hang on a minute, it's Willy.

There were also 11,600 excess deaths recorded in the UK in 2 months this year due to a backlog of the effects of Covid/and lockdowns. Cardiovascular causes show significant excess mortality.

Why have there been excess deaths this summer? - UK in a changing Europe

Now, about that elephant in the room...

You are conflating deaths with heart attacks.

Now, any serious sources for this statement of yours?

No, Willy. I've got nothing more serious than the British Medical Journal and the UK governments very own Office for National Statistics.

UK health officials analyse recent rise in excess deaths | The BMJ
Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales - Office for National Statistics

UK health officials are analysing a rise in excess deaths seen in recent months, and circulatory diseases and diabetes are believed to be behind the increase.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show about 10% more deaths than expected since April this year.

In the week ending 12 August England registered 9670 deaths including 878 excess deaths, 10% above the five year average. Wales registered 661 deaths, including 73 excess deaths, in the week ending …

For the record, and once again, I am pro vaccine.

I took the first 2 and would happily do the same again in a similar situation. Now, not so much and you would have to be at Oh Doh levels of brainwashing not to query these ongoing issues given the (rare) deaths we have seen caused by the vaccine and more frequent issues of myocarditis among recipients.

^^ Again, you are conflating deaths with cardiac arrests. You are either deliberating obtuse, or rather stupid.

I fully understand why people are gonna take it. I hope the new Moderna vaccine - targeting the original strain and Omicron - does the business.

The vaccines got us out of a big hole in the first place.

Not to any sensible person, I don't.

I have a number of issues and questions about with the way the pandemic was handled and reported (many of which have since been recognised as mistakes). That's all.

In general - in general - I will always be pro vaccine.

How about putting the blame on companies like Nestlé, Danone, Kraft Heinz and Mondelez International for the fact that so many people are overweight. We are not to blame for our fat rolls, but the companies that make us addicted to unhealthy food and thus make "fat profits".

    Remember the tobacco industry?
