Kyrgyzstani woman falls to death at hotel, police investigating strange circumstances

A Kyrgyzstani woman fell to death at a hotel in the Pattaya area after noon today (September 16th). She had previously filed a report to police over what she claimed was a Chinese gangster who defrauded her to become a prostitute in Pattaya.

The Pattaya Police was notified of the incident at a hotel on Thap Phraya Road in Nongprue, Banglamung. The name of the hotel was withheld pending a further investigation. Law enforcement arrived at the seven storey hotel to find on the pavement outside the hotel the foreign woman who was later identified as a 30-year-old Kyrgyzstani woman. (The Pattaya News is withholding her name pending embassy and family notification.) She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Kunlachart Kunlachai went up to the room on the seventh floor where the woman stayed.

Mr. Bechstein Hans Matthias, 58, an American national who is the room’s owner told police, “I stay with my two nephews. They are students who came to visit Thailand.”

“The Kyrgyzstani woman was a friend of my ex-girlfriend. She used to ask for help as she was allegedly being defrauded by a Chinese gangster to become a prostitute. She claimed she needed a place to hide. I don’t personally know her but I gave one of my rooms for her to stay in.”

“Today, a hotel staffer told me the woman jumped down to her death.”

Police found that she threw banknotes in total of more than 10,000 baht over the balcony before she fell. She had also recently met a doctor at a hospital although it was not clear what for.

The woman had also as mentioned recently filed a report to the Pattaya City Police. She told police that she was defrauded by what she called a Chinese gangster to be a prostitute in Pattaya, although the name of this individual was unknown.

Pattaya police are investigating the unusual case. This is a developing story and The Pattaya News will provide updates when and if they become available.

Police in Thailand Launch Manhunt for 3 Chinese Gangsters

Police officers in central Thailand have launched a manhunt for three Chinese gangsters following the death of a Kyrgyzstan woman in Pattaya on September 16, 2022

In his capacity as deputy chief of a police team investigating human trafficking cases against children and women, Pol Maj Gen Thitawat Suriyachai, commander of Cybercrime Investigation Division 4, identified the three as Nin Wai Siu, 48, Song Qianli, 32, and Rou Li, 27.

The three suspects are wanted for possible human trafficking and murder.

The warrant for the arrests of the three suspects followed a police search of a house in the Natcha Housing Estate in central Pattaya in the tambon Nong Prue of Bang Lamung district on Saturday.

The owner of the house, 45-year-old Wang Gang, was detained for questioning in connection with the case.

After the 30-year-old Anara Seitaleva fell to her death from the seventh floor of a condominium on Khao Thapaya road in tambon Nong Prue, an investigation was conducted.
Initially, it was believed that she had committed suicide.

On September 13, three days earlier, Seitaleva filed a complaint with Pattaya police.

In her complaint, Seitaleva stated that a Chinese couple she met through a Kyrgyzstan friend contacted her and offered her a job in Pattaya. She was guaranteed 20,000 baht per month for a tourism-related position.

She arrived in Thailand on July 15 and was greeted by a Chinese man at Suvarnabhumi airport. After spending the night in Bangkok, the man took her to the northern city of Chiang Rai.

She was transported from Chiang Rai to Laos via the immigration police checkpoint in the Chiang Saen district.

In Laos, the Chinese man confiscated her passport and compelled her to work for a call center gang, but she was incapable of performing the duties.

She was then subsequently forced into prostitution. Ms. Seitaleva told police she was filmed having sex with clients in Laos to blackmail her.
On July 27, the Chinese man returned her to Thailand with her. They returned to Bangkok, where she was compelled to continue her sexual exploitation.

She escaped the gang on September 11 and took a taxi to Pattaya, where she sought assistance from a German man and stayed in his condominium.

On September 16, Seitaleva fell to her death from the seventh floor of the condominium.

The German told the police that Seitaleva was his girlfriend’s friend.

Transferred Pattaya police chief is back at Pattaya police station

Transferred Pattaya Police chief Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai has been reinstated as Pattaya Police chief after being temporarily demoted to an inactive post, following the alleged forced prostitution of a Kyrgyzstani woman who filed a police report and later died from suicide.

Pol. Col. Kunlachart Kunlachai is set to return to the Pattaya Police station immediately after an order issued by Pol. Maj. Gen. Attasit Kitchahan, commander-in-chief of Chonburi province, went into effect yesterday, September 30th.

Kunlachart had been transferred to an inactive post from September 18th-30th after a tragic incident of a Kyrgyzstani woman who plunged to her death allegedly after being forced into prostitution by a Chinese gangster.

One Chinese female suspect has been arrested so far, while two remain at large as of press time.

Kunlachart had reportedly been under review during the suspension period and was ultimately found by his superiors to not be directly responsible for the alleged trafficking incident or the police response and returned to his duties as Pattaya Police Chief.
