A 7 year old knows how to open locks and doors, I suspect she was asleep and become incapacitated before she realised it. Honking a horn won't help if that's the case.

^ Everything has childproof locks and windows now.
^ Good point, could well have been.
Let's hope people go down so van driver and teacher bumpkins start checking every van as they park it.
Was chatting about it tonight and mentioned how it's literally a case of so many locals here being unable to see past the end of their nose. Look in the van, cannot see anyone = there must be no one in it. The notion that it was full of children (at an early hour of the day) and there are half a dozen large obstacles to one's line of sight isn't computed by their mind.
Of course the poor kid dying after physical abuse from a Thai that had them in their duty of care, then the death scene being staged, is also yet to be ruled out.
Initial autopsy results of seven-year-old female student who died in schoolbus in Chonburi say heatstroke cause of death, Justice Ministry’s Secretary reveals
The cause of death of a seven-year-old female student found in her Chonburi school bus was being examined and presumably was heatstroke, the Secretary of the Justice Ministry revealed on Tuesday, September 6th.
Thanakrit Jitareerat, the aforementioned secretary, revealed to the press after meeting with the Chief of Forensic Medicine at the Police Hospital that no abnormalities were found in the initial autopsy results nor the premises indicating murder or physical harm.
The secretary said: “No traces of rape were found. No broken teeth or bruises as well. Her physical stated that every part of her body was normal.”
The unofficial autopsy result rather indicates the cause of death as heatstroke or excessive body heat, the secretary added.
Dr. Sarawut Rachasrimuang, one of the experts and observance team members, further explained the symptoms of heatstroke in that children are more likely to die from heatstroke than adults because children are less resistant to heat. If heatstroke had occurred while the child was sleeping, children could suffer from brain symptoms, seizures, unconsciousness, and organ failure.

heavily tinted windows perhaps.Look in the van, cannot see anyone = there must be no one in it.
should be illegal on vehicles with a transport license.
In civilised countries, obscured vehicle window glass is restricted to the rear passenger cell. In UK the front windscreen must allow 75% visible light transmission with the driver/front passenger windows permitting 70% VLT.
Here in stupid land any swinging dick or airhead can drive totally incognito hindering police enforcement or other assistance.
Anyone try their own car?
Meanwhile, Khaosod News reports a Chonburi pre-school for 2-4yr olds giving survival lessons for if the child is trapped in a vehicle.
Which only serves a purpose if the child is awake/alert enough and not suffering heatstroke.
Cynically, it could be an 'out' in future for the blame-shifting van driver, as he'll state the child should have known how to alert people.
