From my Drone at 3pm. Winds picking up and clouds are forming. Actually a nice day today. Got some laps in the pool after I mowed the lawns.

Well NPT, since you ask, They just finished the project up right before the first big rain where the river rose about 2 meters or so. Would have washed out the bend there for sure. Lucky break as I can't believe it was planned... .

I will go snap off some pics on my bike ride tomorrow, weather permitting. They have completed 3 or 4 big erosion projects along the Wang near our area and put in really nice stone bike paths and railings but they go nowhere and have no shade, but they look nice...

    Here ya go NPT,

Nice stone walkway that really no one has access to.

Rock all in but as you can see vegetation broke through the plastic cover under the rocks so it will be over grown in no time.

Few pics from the other side of the river from below the spillway at the rock project.

No rain last night or today so far but the Wang river is flowing pretty fast. Must be raining up north.

That's a lot of work for a short walk/cycle way but like many things Thai, just smile. You'd like to think it was bank works and they just capped it with a walk way.

Those drones are great for buzzing around and looking at stuff without having to scramble around.

Well there are 2 more like it just north of me on the river. Same deal. a 100 to 150 meter long stretch of rock to stop erosion I suspect and a nice stone walk way and railing. Maybe there is a grand plan to connect them all at some point...I dunno. But as you say...I just smile and go about my day.

The last 4 pics I rode my mountain bike to check them out. Had my iced Latte and relaxed at the spillway and watched the debris launch over it. But to your point, having the drone is nice. I can fire it up, launch it from the pool area with a beer in hand and see what's up never leaving my hammock...

Seriously one time I wanted to see if the little coffee shop I go to was open. Fired up the drone and flew it to the main street and sure enough...open. Flew back. Got on my bike and rode and had me a coffee.

I spoke to soon. Rain here now.

    Yeah, it chucked it down.

Got a leak in the bedrooom ceiling too.

But it's only dripping on the wife's side of the bed.

Its back to a full on rain right now.

I got up early today to mow the back forty assuming the big rain would come today and then followed by sun which causes everything to grow like crazy. I am mowing this area 2 times a week right now. Great exercise but man I'd like a break. It grows 3" to 4" a week with the heavy rain and then big sun and if I let it go, it just bogs down the mower. Sure looks and smells nice after a good mow though.
