Unidentified deceased foreign man found floating near Pattaya Beach, shocking tourist

An unidentified deceased middle-aged foreign man was found floating just off shore on Pattaya Beach last night, shocking tourists sitting and relaxing around the beach area.

The incident took place around 10:30 P.M. yesterday, June 18th, 2022 when a speed boat driver who was driving in his vessel saw a “strange object” floating about fifty meters from Pattaya Beach, not far from Soi 6.

Mr. Chalermpol Phumpuang, 35-years-old, the speed boat driver, stated to The Pattaya News that he drove closer to the object and discovered that it was a shirtless middle-aged Caucasian man wearing only shorts and having no form of identity.

Chalermpol called Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon rescue services who brought the body to the shore, shocking nearby tourists resting on the beach.

Pattaya Police Chief Kunlachart Kunllachai told The Pattaya News it was too early to make any assumptions and the body was brought to Banglamung Hospital for a full inspection and to attempt to identify the man. However, there were no immediate signs of physical wounds or abuse and the victim appeared to be around 50-years-old and Caucasian. Sawang Boriboon rescuers stated to The Pattaya News the man appeared to have been dead for around three hours.

Further updates to this story will be made when and if Pattaya Police provide more detailed information. Chief Kunlachart told The Pattaya News missing person reports would be reviewed and hotels asked to report any missing guests in the area.

RIP. His body was estimated to be dead for just 3 hours. That gives the investigators a lot to work with.
