A fire reportedly broke out at the Lan Pho Naklua Market in Banglamung District in the early hours of this morning, October 24th. No deaths or injuries were reported.
Firefighters along with officials from the Pattaya City Disaster Management Center and Banglamung Police Station arrived at the scene after being alerted of the incident at around 12:16 AM. The fire reportedly started from a dried food and souvenir shop named “Rattanaphan” located in the market.
Firefighters then rushed to spray water and chemical extinguishers before the fire began to subside and was left with only a cloud of smoke. According to the initial examination, it was believed that the fire started from a vacuum sealer in the store. Most of the property in the shop was reportedly damaged.
Witness Santi Thongnoi, 55, revealed that he was sitting and talking with villagers from the Naklua Market community nearby when he noticed a cloud of smoke rising from the market. They rushed to the scene for an initial inspection and saw a fire was coming out from the souvenir shop before alerting local officials.
As of press time, officials were still investigating the scene for more details. Meanwhile, no deaths and injuries were reported.
