2 crocodiles found roaming after flood in Ratchaburi Province

Villagers in Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province found 2 crocodiles roaming on the streets after flood water levels dropped down. Villagers are asking officials to help catch the crocodiles in fear that there are more in the area. Locals often go fishing and children swim in the waters, the crocodiles can cause great harm. Banjuap Kaewpaluek 33 year old from the district stated the area was flooded and villagers have spotted crocodiles roaming in the area. He fears locals, especially children who swim in the water will get attacked by the crocodiles.

Banjuap showed the Khaosod news team where he spotted a crocodile. Banjuap stated there was constant heavy rain in the area. During the end of September villagers caught a crocodile that was about 1 meter long. Then 2 weeks later another group of villagers found a dead crocodile with a length of about 2 meters long. The crocodile was found in tall grass that was flooded. The second crocodile was found only 100 meters from where the first crocodile was caught. Villagers have no idea where these crocodiles are coming from, but fear they might attack children out of natural instinct.

The crocodiles were found after the flood took place. Many locals often go fishing daily and children swim in the waters for fun. Many are choosing to avoid the waters as they believe there are more crocodiles swimming around. A group of villagers searched the area to make sure there were no crocodiles swimming in the water. Banjuap wishes to warn others to beware of crocodiles, especially in areas that have been in a flood. Because no one knows where the crocodiles are coming from, they can be hiding anywhere. Banjuap is asking related officials to inspect the area and to find out where these crocodiles are coming from.
