79-year-old man loses arm after being attacked by a neighbors dog in Chonburi

An elderly local resident has lost his arm after he was attacked by his neighbor’s dogs in the Panat Nikhom district earlier this week.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident on Wednesday (August 18th) at a house in Thung Kwang.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the house to find the injured man, Mr Juea ‘Keang’ Kitijutirakun, 79. He had sustained serious injuries on his arms from dog bites. He was taken to a local hospital for urgent medical assistance.

Local residents nearby told The Pattaya News that Mr. Juea lives alone at his house. He likes to give free vegetables that he grows to his neighbors and his main passion is gardening.

Ms. Korakorn and Ms. Nattananya Sittikun, 29 who are the owners of the dogs in question told The Pattaya News, “We have four dogs, Mr. Keang brought lemons for us but no one was home.”

“He tried to drop a bag of lemons from the fence into the house. One of the dogs bit his arm before other dogs followed.”

“We are willing to take responsibility on this incident and help Mr. Keang. We will put a sign on the fence to warn about the fierce dogs.”

Mr. Banlue Saelao, who is a rescue worker, told Pattaya News reporters, “We were notified later that Mr. Keang had to have his right arm amputated because his arm was seriously injured.”

Mr. Kaeng remains at a hospital and is recovering, according to doctors. It is unknown if any legal charges will take place and the victim has not released a public statement. As stated the owners of the dogs have taken full responsibility and will be assisting Mr. Kaeng.

The dogs were in a yard doing their job protecting the house. If I’m reading it right, this old fellow dangled his arm over the fence where the dogs were. It wasn’t very clever of him. No need to kill the dogs! A sign will do.

If they attacked him as a pack and tore his arm off, they need a bullet through the fucking head before a kid climbs over.

They are what are called "dangerous dogs".

I have 4 dogs and 1 I consider dangerous to those that want to enter the property illegally.

The good thing is whenever there is anyone at the front gate the other 3 dogs go crazy barking so a possible illegal entry is negated.

Plus I have many signs on every boundary warning that a dangerous dog lives within the walls so keep the fook out.
