Woman stabs her boyfriend to death at Pattaya area home allegedly in self defense

A young woman has reportedly stabbed her boyfriend to death at a house in Banglamung, part of the Pattaya area, early this morning. She told Banglamung police that her boyfriend tried to attack her after midnight (July 17th).

The Banglamung Police were notified of the incident shortly after midnight at a house in Eastern Pattaya, Nongprue.

Police, first responders, and The Pattaya News team arrived at a two-story townhouse to find Mr. Anuwat Ratchawong, 36, lying in front of the house bleeding heavily from multiple stab wounds.

Anuwat was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of first responders providing medical assistance. Ms. Nuchthida Sombatwong, 28, his girlfriend, was found crying and in a state of emotional distress nearby. A kitchen knife with blood stains was found at the scene of the incident, according to Banglamung police.

Ms. Nuchthida told police, “He and I were having a heated discussion about ending our relationship. We had previously stated to each other that if we saw our relationship could not work out that we would end it verbally and amicably. However, he became aggressive and hostile when I informed him that I wanted to separate from him.”

“I grabbed a knife and ran away from him as he chased me around our property. I told him not to attack me but he dared me to stab him and began to attack me with his fists. In self-defense, I stabbed him trying to protect myself. I didn’t mean to kill him, and once he collapsed from his wounds I had a friend contact the police.” Nuchthida stated to the Banglamung police.

Ms. Nuchthida was taken to the Banglamung Police Station for further investigation. Banglamung police are still reviewing the case and determining what, if any, charges will take place as a result of the incident. Nuchthida was described as cooperative by Banglamung police.

Which, to be fair, was preferable to being stabbed.

Actually ended up rooting 30 minutes later, which was really really good, if not a bit odd.

Taking the bunny boiler to the next level. Maybe you don't want to let her cook for you in future.

Given the Thai males propensity for violence (only when they have a clear advantage in numbers or strength, obviously), I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was self defence.

A bit harsh harry. How many men do you see pick on a 6'6" 120kg bloke that looks like a gorilla. I would, but only from the other side of the bars. Oh and out of arms length too.

It's just one of a number of clichés streaked with racism that harriet likes to peddle.

Always from the safety of his keyboard, of course.

Fuck that shit sybille, I wouldn't take a Thai on in a fair fight; guaranteed half a dozen of their mates will dive in if they're looking like they're on the losing side.

Safety first I say, I haven't got a death wish.

If you've never seen a bunch of Thais bravely taking on the odd drunk foreign tourist, you have your head in the sand.

As for Thai males beating up and killing women, FFS grow up. How many murders of wantaway wives and girlfriends are posted here with monotous regularity?

If sybille tries to fucking argue against that one it will be a laugh.

even before the pandemic Thailand was already listed by the United Nations as one of 38 countries in the world with the highest rates of domestic violence against women.
