Thai Riceberry Rice Wins Bronze Medal at France Fine Grocery Contest

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Department of International Trade Promotion has announced that Thailand’s riceberry rice won a bronze medal at France’s “Fine Grocery” contest this week.

Department Director-General Somdet Susomboon said French importer Naga-Gold company had sent the riceberry rice to take part in the contest and won the bronze medal.

He said the “Fine Grocery” contest was organized as part of the Epicures 2021 event. The department expects that the bronze medal will draw more customers’ interest in Thai rice, especially in France.

In the “Fine Grocery” contest, Dlice de Saint Orens’ foie gras and Bidaian’s Tajine spice won the gold medal. The silver medal went to Maison Telme’s rice mixed with herb and spice.

I really like the riceberry beer.

Probably one of only two people in the world, granted.

Obviously not as it can't find a berry by that name.

I thought it was just another version of Black rice! My wife uses the Black or Maroon rice mixed with White rice in some of her deserts.

Even if my cognitive skills were plumbing klongdick-ian levels, I'd still stick my neck out and say that looks like rice to me.

And a deception in the second...

Imagine crowing about winning third price in a pate/rice/spice trade show plug.

That's how much they cost per can in the 7.

It really is quite pathetic how these stupid people dredge the world for perceived compliments that will bolster the fatuous and utterly deluded notion their country is nonpareil.

It's a fucking rice variety, the same as brown rice but a different colour.

You've clearly forgotten the 'berry' component

There is no 'berry' component, for fuck's sake. It'a a misnomer and merely reflects the fucking slightly bloated shape of the grain that swells up after cooking.

Your sense of humour has evaporated along with the water, it seems.

My sense of humour has been obliterated by a succession of events that have amply demonstrated that the human species is irredeemably stupid but nowhere in the world manifests this fact more clearly than the ridiculous country in which I find myself now. And the alternatives are not much better.

I think it's an age thing, the only amusement I can derive these days is from the grievous misfortune that might afflict those who connive at spreading this global gospel of fuckwittery.

I can only assume whoever decided to call rice "berry" was the same douche that came up with the new "Lotus's" name.

The drop pin that appears in the new logo signifies that Lotus's is a one-store destination for customers while the S at the end stands for "Smart'' in all aspects
You have to wonder about the tiny minds that come up with this shit.
