Seppo kills his Thai Wife - arrested in Chiang Mai

It was on the Thai news just now, so I had a check on the internet.

    Chiang Mai –

A wanted American fugitive suspect was arrested this afternoon, May 6th, in Chiang Mai for allegedly killing his Thai two-month pregnant wife and brutally dumping her in an abandoned field in a garbage bin in Nan province last Monday, May 3rd.

ason Balzer, 32, was wanted by the Nan police after vanishing from his residence when the body of his 32-year-old wife, Pitchaporn Kidchob, was discovered wrapped in a blanket in a garbage bin by the local police.

According to Pitchaporn’s mother, Anong Tanya, 52, her daughter lived with a foreign husband and was two months pregnant. Pitchaporn allegedly became unreachable since Sunday afternoon, May 2nd. The concerned mother then arrived at her daughter’s house the next morning, May 3rd, but only found her foreign son-in-law. Anong stated this was very unusual for her daughter not to contact her on a daily basis or respond to messages or phone numbers.

When being asked about Pitchaporn, Jason allegedly ignored the question, giving a short response in English that she didn’t understand, before getting onto a motorcycle and leaving the scene immediately despite an incoming storm, claiming he would be back later according to Anong. Anong then went inside the house and shockingly found a trace of bloodstains in the master bedroom, according to the mother’s statement to the police.

Nan police utilized police dogs to help find the missing woman.

The body of Pitchaporn was eventually discovered two kilometers away from her house on Wednesday, May 5th, after the mother reported her missing to Mueang Nan Police Station and a several-day investigation by Nan police.

    Apparently the guy has history....

Man sentenced to probation, attempted murder charge dropped in Longmont case

A Longmont man originally facing an attempted murder charge after police say a gun went off while he was threatening a woman with it has pleaded to a misdemeanor count after prosecutors said the named victim could not testify.

Jason Matthew Balzer, 31, on Friday pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault in Boulder District Court and was sentenced to two years of probation, according to court records.

Prosecutors said there was an issue with the named victim that led them to drop the original charges of of attempted second-degree murder, attempted first-degree assault, extortion, felony menacing, second-degree assault, criminal mischief and tampering with physical evidence.

ffs.. would it be too much to ask of the thoughtless idiots at the pattaya news to find a more respectful way of pixellating the face of the woman who was murdered and dumped in a garbage bin.

What's with the nail polish on the perp? Must be a nutter.

He will probably be popular in prison.

How is the justice system "farked" up? A crazed American brutally killed his wife and fled. The police found the body and tracked him down in less than 48 hours. He is now in custody. Seems like good police work to me.

Was he not referring to the earlier case against him?

TD has proven to be an unexpected source of enlightenment. Nowhere outside the confines of TD have I ever heard the term 'Seppo'. I was driven to find out more and was surprised to discover that it comes from the rhyming slang. I had never joined those dots. Now I know and I can sleep peacefully again.

with a criminal record to his name that somehow managed to escape the notice of the eagle eyed and nitpicking thai immigration department he should never have been allowed into thailand. seems that the thai system is indeed "farked up"

but to thai apologists like yourself, the country is a nirvana of utopian perfection.

Do you think Thai immigration has access to a database of all foreign criminals? Or just American criminals?

Perhaps Mr Balzer just forgot to check the "Are you a criminal?" box on the landing card.

He absconded from the US and a two year probation sentence for a third-degree assault charge--hardly enough to trigger State-wide notices let alone international--so you might as well blame the US system for allowing him to leave.

Given his circumstances and absconding from the US one wonders just how he was able to maintain his residence in Thailand for so long.

    nonsense.

he will have entered thailand on a non-imm visa, he could not have got married on a tourist visa, and in order to obtain that visa he would have had to, as part of his application, supply the thai immigration authorities via the thai embassy in the usa with proof of having no criminal record. it would seem that his paperwork was not checked thoroughly by the thai penpushers and rubber stamp merchants that deal with visa applications in the embassy.

Who says they were actually legally married. Who says he was on a Non-Imm.

You are as ever inserting 'facts' to suit the narrative you want.

And the fact remains, he was able to leave the US despite his charges so the fault lies there.

the news report states "wife" and "foreign husband", not boyfriend and girlfriend, so until those statements are contradicted i will assume they were legally married and he is in possession of a non imm visa.

AFAIK, a non immigrant visa to marry does not demand police clearance.

I know people that legally married while on a tourist visa at Bang Rak in Bkk.

Possibly even on a Visa Exempt stamp, but it would have been one of the two.
