Police have arrested four suspects who have reportedly admitted to stealing water drainage covers in Nongprue. The suspects reportedly admitted they sold these covers for 12 baht per kilogram to buy illegal drugs.

The Nongprue Police were notified this week by local residents that many water drainage covers were stolen around the vicinity of Soi Boonsampan Temple 12 and 14. Police confirmed they inspected CCTV and managed to track down the suspects through proper identification of their vehicles and license plates.


Yesterday, (May 4th), Police finally arrested four suspects who were named as Mr. Warin ‘Dae’ Aonpoekaew, 37, Mr. Seksan ‘Sek’ Sangpoe, 36, Mr. Arnon ‘Bos’ Panitwattana, 29, and Mr. Teeranan ‘Kang’ Sangngern, 35. A reenactment of the crime was conducted per Thai law.

All four have admitted they stole the water drainage covers before selling them for 12 baht per kilograms, stated Nongprue Police The four men then reportedly used the money they got to buy illegal drugs for themselves, according to their statements.


Their urine test results showed positive for illegal drug usage, Nongprue police added, without specifically confirming what drug they tested positive for. The four men remain in police custody pending their upcoming trial where they plan to plead guilty to the offenses, police concluded.
