A total of 37 provinces in Thailand announced that people traveling from other provinces must perform local quarantine particularly during the Songkran period, the Interior Ministry reported on their websites yesterday evening, April 11th.


The provinces are as follows:


Northern regions: 12 provinces including Kamphaeng Phet, Chiang Mai, Tak, Nan, Phayao, Phetchabun, Phrae, Lamphun, Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok.


Northeastern regions: 13 provinces including Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Phanom, Bueng Kan, Buriram, Mahasarakham, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Sakon Nakhon, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Amnat Charoen, Udon Thani, and Nakhon Ratchasima


Central, Eastern, Western regions: 5 provinces including Chainat, Saraburi, Singburi, Sarakaew, and Lopburi


Southern regions: 7 provinces: Chumphon, Trang, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phang Nga, Songkhla, and Satun


Loei province has recently been removed from the list and allows visitors from other provinces to travel without detention.
