Italian man arrested for allegedly molesting 3-year-old girl

Thammasala police arrested Italian national Aldo (last name withheld), aged 50, on Tuesday at a pizzeria located on Sala Thammasop Road in Bangkok’s Thawi Watthana district for allegedly molesting a child.

Police said they tracked down the suspect after the three-year-old girl’s parents filed a complaint saying he allegedly molested their little daughter on February 9.

“The parents said they had let their girl play with the man’s son at his house after he offered to babysit and feed the girl,” a police officer said. “Later that day, the girl told her parents that the suspect had allegedly touched and licked her private part while she was at his house, prompting them to file a complaint.”

Police then contacted the Taling Chan Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for the suspect on the grounds that he allegedly molested a girl under 15 years of age regardless of the victim’s consent and took a minor away from her parents for the purpose of sexual harassment.

On being arrested, Aldo denied the charges. He was taken to Thammasala Police Station for interrogation.

Which strikes me as a good basis for a set up.

Sometimes paranoia is just a healthy defense mechanism. Anything about young kids in my household is the wifes business, and I stay as far away as is practicable.

Interesting that a 3 year old has that kind of awareness to tell her parents. Hmmmm.

Not saying it didn't happen as we know some real lowlifes have washed up here but I think something is off here.

I agree, lots can be lost in translation and lots can be planted words The fact a 3 year old can speak that well and to know those are Private parts? Come on. I am with HB above..a set up is not out of the realm of possibility by any means.

It's a damn fine line. Nobody wants to discourage people from coming forward with this kind of accusation.

We also know that an accusation like this, even if false, can ruin another persons life.

I would like to see some criminal penalties for those that make these kinds of accusation if they prove to be fabricated.
A true diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a manner that you will be asking for directions.

Absolutely. In the states this kind of stuff goes on where kids claim things out of anger then it ruins the parents or accused life, especially when it makes news. The penalties if fabricated should be as stern as the crime they were accused of. Sorry my child lied doesn't cut it.
