One thing that is also quite clear is that Seekingasylum spends a copious amount of time trying to convince himself by spitting out all those thesaurus words that he is the only intelligent person around (in his mind). The fact is, from all of his negative and condescending posts that I have read, he is a one dimensional, disgruntled old guy who probably sits all day thinking about all the poor decisions he has made so he lashes out at others as a defense mechanism.

The sooner he get those ducks lined up and outta here, the better his life will be..(or so he thinks). I seriously doubt he would or could be happy and content anywhere he goes.

Look, unlike the vast majority of TD with its core membership of blue collar whoremongers or the merely dissatisfied with their own countries, I came to SE Asia as a traveller and met my wingman by chance leading to marriage and settlement in the UK. But we retired here out of familial commitments, the largely benign climate, and the relative good value enhancing a better quality of choice but I utterly loathe their society, their governance, their reckless indifference to consequences and the prevailing culture of stupidity and ignorance.

Just what the fuck has that got to do with one's state of mind or disposition?

The human condition is infinitely flawed, life itself has no purpose other than to perpetuate itself, there is no divine being and the world has just entered the anthropocene era or to be more accurate, The Age of The Stupid.

It seems that a fatuous and simpleton understanding of the world is a prerequisite for the typical American. My acquaintance in Bkk, a delightful Englishwoman retired and living there, often confided that she rarely sought friendships with American because they were so childish in their behaviour - that clichéd banality of their conversation, the high-fiving, whooping exchanges so typical of the pre-adolescent but carried on into later life, the crass belief that because they ae white they are superior to all their other immigrants etc, etc she found quite wearing.
