    Just like the ridiculously phrased:

Just think, at one point the Jewish state could have been in Tasmania.

^ And one single post of mine elsewhere is described by you as "revolting" ? I'd say that your constant, everyday denigration of Klondyke is disgraceful, irrespective of whether he is right or wrong.
    You utter hypocrite.

Why not in Germany as once suggest old lady Helen Thomas, the First Lady of press corps at WH. Sitting there without getting a chance to ask honorable GWB. He instead called unknown imposters who got predescribed questions.
She, however, got it back from the obedient press: how she could dare to ask such politically incorrect question...

BTW, has is it now with asking inconvenient questions? Just curious...

Probably because the Basel Program 1897 wanted a Jewish state within Palestine. It rejected alternatives such as East Africa (Kenya).

But then Herzl wanted a Jewish homeland in Uganda/Kenya . . . it's surprising that history, which the Jewish state uses as a justification for its existence wasn't that important to many prominent Jews.

It's been a long time since I studied this and memories are known to play tricks. However, I was under the impression that the British proposed the idea and it was agreed to have a look at the area in East Africa but later rejected. I'm not sure Herzl wanted a settlement in Africa to replace one in Palestine, certainly the idea met with angry opposition.

Agree with Latin Dancer, anyone who has different views than them has been called names.. It's not the first time, I called out the guy who did that with me and dared him to come to CM to throw insults face to face to see how it would go ...silence, no need to name him he should know who he is, keyboard warriors acting though only when sheltered behind their screens I guess..

Since then I don't even bother to react when he does it on other topics, he's been called out and he didn't do anything... Coward

Herzl was a proponent of the 'temporary' settlement in Uganda/Kenya . . . and I'm not sure how long he planned for the Jew to stay, to be honest. You're quite right in that it was originally a British proposal.

I have found a good article with acceptable details:

1903: Herzl proposes Kenya (not Uganda) as a safe haven for the Jews - Jewish World - Haaretz.com

Don't need to be "scared", if one randomly (as uncalled for, just because you have a different view on the topic) insult you and double down when you highlight it, the only thing I thought to do was to check if he can walk the walk ... apparently he couldn't. Offer is still on the table though.

End of story you won't see me threatening anyone without a reason, don't try to punk me if you can't stand being called out for it, not overly complicated.

I'm fine, just feel that one TD tough guy might need a reality check ...see if he would say as much shit face to face as when hidden behind his keyboard.
He didn't take me on my offer (yet), who knows he could beat me as I'm not Rambo...up to him I'd gladly make myself available to settle this.

But that's all it is: the internet. People writing things to pixels on a screen that they probably wouldn't say in real life- because we're just usernames fooling around on a board for a bit of fun.

The odds are that many of the people flinging shit at each other day in day out would probably get along perfectly fine if they ever met in the real world.

You shouldn't let it bother you.
