BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security has launched its "Happiness to the Community Mobiles" campaign, dispensing necessities to groups impacted by COVID-19 in 28 provinces nationwide.

In the vicinity of the ministry, goods are being provided to children, the elderly, women, the disabled, the homeless and low-income earners. Donations include daily necessities, such as face masks and hand gels, and were presented to target groups door-to-door. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit chaired a ceremony launching 24 mobiles that will be distributing donations until March 31.

Alongside the vehicles, the ministry of social development has installed Happiness Cupboards and Complaint Boxes in 57 locations to further provide aid.

The mobiles will carry out distribution in 28 provinces, including hard-hit Samut Sakhon, where the launch event was held under the title “Happiness to the Community Mobiles Will Help You Wherever You Are”. So far, aid has been provided to 25 households.

In Kanchanaburi and Chumporn provinces, the mobiles departed from the provincial halls and will be setting up complaint boxes as they operate.
