Gamblers detained for violating emergency law

Ten card gamblers have been detained at Nakhon Phanom Central Prison for violating the Emergency Law and the government’s measures to contain the spread of Covid-19, sanook.com reported today (Jan 7, 2021).

The gamblers will be in detention for 14 days while government officials and doctors observe them.

Nakhon Phanom has imposed strict measures to contain Covid-19 in all 12 districts. Local residents returning from other districts and provinces will be quarantined for 14 days.

As of today, no one has been found with Covid-19 in the province.
