It is a sad fact that many countries sacrificed morality (if they ever possessed it in the first place) and truth over trade, in regard to China and Taiwan relationship. They have forgotten the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Countries like my own are now bearing the fruits of lying down with the enemy and make no mistake China is the enemy. They have shown this by both word and deed. Their economic bullying of Australia is a taste of things to come if they are left unchallenged.
Europe will do what it always does and look the other way or boldly tut tut. The Americans will do whatever suits their strategic interest. In the end countries like Australia will need to rely on themselves in decoupling trade with China. The ultimate goal should be to stop mineral and energy exports to China, sadly a pipe dream. I see many parallels between the rise of Nazi Germany and China. I hope I am wrong.

May I add invading countries (Tibet) usurping territory (india). Supporting other like dictatorships (PDRK). Threatening others with invasion and intimidating them with their military (Taiwan). Falsely claiming vast stretches of ocean and intimidating fisherman in said false claim. Building military bases on reefs etc etc.
