Local singer dies after crashing his car while on a video call

A Thai singer died after crashing his car into a lamppost while on a video call with his girlfriend. Thai media did not report on the estimated speed, but photos of the wreckage show severe damage. The roof ripped off the Toyota Altis and the car is almost unrecognisable.

23 year old Akkarachai, known as Ice, was found dead at the scene on Pahonyothin Road, or Route 1. He performed at many night venues and events around the Central Thailand province Chai Nat. Ice’s friend told police that he was on his way home to his girlfriend’s house in Nakhon Sawan about 25 kilometres away. While on the phone with his girlfriend, there was suddenly a loud noise and the phone went dead.

Chai Nat police warn people not to use their phones while driving.

Distracted driving is the #1 cause of motor vehicle accidents in the world. Some people never learn, and sadder that they take the lives of others. No sympathy from me.

Unfortunately true. But true for many of us and as such a bit of sympathy IMO . I often catch my daughter doing it, and I am sure she is not the only one, I am sure many of our children and many of us do it.
    RIP,
and how horrible for the parents who have to bury their child, ,and the GF who has to live with the loss and the guilt.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

if the girlfriend had a functioning brain cell she would have told the silly fxckwit to turn his phone off.

Not just using his phone but video calling? What a complete plank.

What the cops say won't matter a damn! Yesterday the local shit shifter (septic tank cleaner) in his little blue truck was driving the main road and I was waiting to cross. Watched him go past and all the time he was looking at his phone and I doubt he realised he was going through an intersection!
