    Damn.

43 is way too young, let's hope there isn't a young family up that way that are now left fatherless and incomeless.

Immediate thoughts in cases like this is were they wearing a helmet, and if not, would a helmet have likely saved their life.

    Anyway, RIP dude.

Stupidity will see your life taken at any time. Riding at that hour on Thai roads, the odds are stacked massively against the vulnerable.

I doubt your 200 baht Chinese Lazada 9 ball helmet would protect much mate.

^ Wasn't there a poster on here that went and bought a 300cc Honda Rebel as his first bike, even though he never knew how to ride one.

Think his missus made him sell it after he crashed a few times (with her riding pillion at least once).

    Can't recall his name...

The next owner (obviously gay or female) had to buy new suspension and seat.

He only used it twice. With an impressive ratio of 3:2 crashes:rides.

The orange Forza mobility scooter that he moved onto next was much more suitable for his 'skill set'.

I fooking hate Korat as a place to drive in. Car or motorcycle. More so car. The place needs knocking down. The traffic signals are a complete bollix. They do not know how to coordinate traffic lights to the volume of traffic at any particular time.

I once did both my wrists in Khon Kaen after high-siding at one of those junctions.

Gravel truck ahead spilled half its load while turning left on the 90 degree turn that I pulled in behind him on.

On the upside the local mechanic did up all me broken hanging down faring in 30 minutes and quoted 60 baht.

    Edit:

Remember that me helmet saved me as after me hands, me helmet went clunk off the ground as I did a perfect gym roll and ended up on my feet wondering wtf just happened.

    From the article

    This pic ..

    And..
"There did not appear to be any helmet near him and pictures show a deep wound on Lee's head"

The helmet is right there and the visor is in the picture too, broken off, laying on the ground

A comment (by yakosey) at the bottom of the article reads: "He was wearing a helmet, I was with him when he left for home, he also had a spare which you can see in the photo."
