The Cabinet has declared Friday September 4th and Monday September 7th to be special public holidays, in lieu of the Songkran break, which was postponed from April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision today means another four day weekend, during which large numbers of people are expected to travel, boosting domestic tourism while the country’s borders remain closed to tourists from abroad.
