Err.....the common cold?
Fucking hell...that's worth a double eye roll.
Seeking Ass is merely recalling the trauma of death by a thousand paper cuts. While he castigated some minion for illicit use of the photocopier.
I bet his war stories go down well in Pattaya bars.
It is a generalisation but Special forces people are exposed by the nature of their specialised training and the missions they go on to far more trauma than normal personnel. There's a theory that if you're exposed to trauma, provided all goes well, 80% will recover naturally. It's the other 20% that need more.
The Ex-Services Mental Welfare Society provides psychiatric support to traumatised former servicemen. There are other NGO as well.
Last SAS I recall killing himself was Charles "Nish" Bruce who had written a book about going mad after leaving service. He jumped out of a light aircraft flown by his girlfriend at 5,000 feet above Brize Norton. Just had enough and stepped out the door.
Sadly when I looked it up there were many more since including this chap.
And calling them heroes? Leave it out.
sorry double post.

There are a variety of mental health disorders that come under the banner of PTSD and they are mostly treatable, but not if the victim feels that by coming forward he is exhibiting some kind of weakness; there is still a stigma attached.
Fortunately your particular mental health condition does nothing more than lead you to spout the sort of ignorant bollocks that perpetuates this myth.
RIP. from all the lads in the barracks. Skip, Ginge, Jezza, Mad Mick, Bob The Mop and Tommo.
