In Nongbualamphu we had about an hour's rain yesterday. Prior to that we had six dry days in a row but for a brief shower on Saturday. This morning the ground is bone dry already. I am having to water the garden and nearby dry rice fields are looking like they are just hanging on, with quite a few weeds.

Last year was difficult for the rice farmers and this year, around here, things are not going as well as they had hoped. Add to the mix people returning jobless to their villages due to Covid and it looks like hard times are here already.

Some steady rain, as opposed to these occasional stormy showers, would be very welcome.
