I don't recall such use a few years ago. Perhaps the "love" is different for the new Elvis?
Under the old regime, the Crown Property Bureau controlled vast assets. These assets belonged to the Crown as an institution, "held in trust for the nation" according to the Thai embassy in Washington.

The present incumbent transferred much (or all?) of the CPB assets into his own name. The assets now belong to him as an individual.

    So things are different.

As an individual, the present owner is liable for tax, I understand. If so then he should become a substantial contributor to government revenues, unlike his predecessors.

A tad cynical. The Tooth Fairy will appear shortly.

The real underlying issues and crux that should be addressed.
