Thread: Thailand’s reopened nightlife to close at midnight

Entertainment venues, such as bars, pubs, karaoke bars and massage parlors, are expected to be allowed to operate up to midnight, when the CCSA meets on Monday to consider further easing of restrictions on business and leisure activities, in the fifth phase of lockdown relaxations.


CCSA spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin said today that the subcommittee tasked with easing lockdown restrictions met today, to discuss measures to be applied to the country’s nightlife.


The proposals include requirements for patrons to register their entry and exit to and from venues via the Phu Pitak Thai Chana application, health screening of both customers and staff, social distancing, no mingling, no shouting, no dancing, groups no larger than 5 customers, the wearing of face masks by customers and staff and a prohibition on staff sitting with customers.


Under this phase, he said that shopping and community malls can resume unrestricted operations.


Age limits will be imposed on game and internet cafes. Customers aged between 15 and 18 can use the service from 2pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 10am to 8pm on weekends. Those over 18 can use the service without restrictions, but all of them must wear face masks at all times and must be seated one metre apart. The premises must be disinfected every two hours and the service time for each round is two hours. No food or drinks are allowed.


As for massage parlors, Dr. Taweesin said masseuses will be required to wear face masks all the time and observe social distancing, except while bathing, and all customers are required to register via the Thai Chana app.


All staff must be periodically tested for COVID-19.

As regular massage shops and spas are already open, I assume he's talking about soapies. He forgot to mention the part about shagging. Hard to do that 1 metre apart.
