A video of a monkey grabbing and dragging a toddler away on a street in Indonesia has gone viral on the internet, leaving netizens reeling in shock at the sight.


According to various reports, the incident occurred in Surabaya on May 2.


A 15-second-long clip shows the monkey zooming down the street on a toy motorbike, crashing into a group of children seated on a bench. Then it jumped off the vehicle and started dragging a girl away by the arm.

This is the monkey riding a tiny motorbike up to some kids and then trying to drag off a little girl.

In the video I saw, it looked like the monkey grabbed the kid and was then itself dragged by its owner until it let the kid go.

It is worth remembering that monkeys are omnivores.

That means they eat meat. That was one lucky kid.

Quite common in Indonesia, called Topeng Monyet, but slowly being forced out due to animal cruelty. Essentially monkeys forced to work tricks for their owners as they roam neighborhoods collecting money for the 'show'.

i saw this video the other day, and for me, the most shocking/noteworthy aspect was that the monkey was riding a motorcycle.
