I think the fat boy has had a good laugh how the West was "worried" about him... (a test? once something else than a missile test?)

Worried? The 'west' was laughing at him and his demise and checking out his sister. As for RT, you should read how they talked about his absence . . . also, in India (is this 'the west' to you?) there was this wonderful headline:

If Kim Yo Jong Comes To Power In North Korea, The World Will Get Its First Female Dictator

If Kim Yo Jong Comes To Power In North Korea, The World Will Get Its First Female Dictator

So, the world laughed about him, made fun of his porky-ness, checked out his sister, pontificated his sister taking power etc ... frightening stuff

"Worried"? The exclamation hasn't been enough for getting the sarcasm? Sorry, next time I will add a .

"And the 'west' was laughing"? 555.... Perhaps just on TD...

Anyway, the "monitory intelligence" seems not monitoring enough (or not intelligent enough?) when did not recognize what was that about...

In the wake of a global media frenzy over Kim Jong Un’s health during his recent three-week absence from public view, North Korea has identified “neglect in the day-to-day management“ of his public appearances, and ordered tighter secrecy and stern punishments for information leaks, sources within the country told RFA.

The North Korean leader reappeared publicly last week in seemingly good health, putting to rest rumors and speculation that he was having major health problems following cardiovascular surgery, as well as conjecture among Pyongyang watchers about his potential successor.

In response to the furor, the Korean Workers’ Party’s Central Committee has ordered officials to keep Kim’s schedule and movements a secret.

“They ordered that there should be no information leaks about Number One events,” an official from North Hamgyong province, who requested anonymity to speak freely, told RFA’s Korean Service. Number One events are those attended by the North Korean leader.

“[The orders] highlighted that there is neglect in the day-to-day management of the event areas, including nearby railway stations, and cases where secrecy about the event has been exposed in advance during preparations,” the source added.

The North Hamgyong source said officials were told that “[Workers’] Party organizations, security departments, and the police must keep strict confidentiality about the events, and perform a thorough selection process for personnel to be mobilized to escort [Kim Jong Un] at the event location,” the source said.

“They also call for thorough safety and security measures to be in place at the location of each event to ensure that the Supreme Leader can be safely attended to at all times,” the source added.

A second source, who also requested anonymity, told RFA authorities are targeting illegal mobile phones with Chinese SIM cards North Koreans living near China use to talk to the outside world.

“In particular, the directive included a stern warning against the leakage of confidential information related to Number One events, especially by the use of illegal mobile phones in the [Chinese] border area,” said the second source, from Ryanggang province.

“Since the beginning of this month, outside media have been citing internal sources as they reported the alleged death of the Supreme Leader, so [the government] seems to have judged that internal information is being leaked to the outside world through illegal phones.”

“Security agencies were told to safely store and handle their weapons, ammunition, explosives and poison, and to keep an eye out for anything unusual,” the second source added.

Unlike his father and predecessor Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un is more about his public image. Where Kim Jong Il never made new years addresses for his entire 17-year rule, Kim Jong Un’s televised addresses harken back to the era of his grandfather, the founder of the country Kim Il Sung.

Kim Jong Un’s three week absence seemed out of place for the very public figure. State media outlet KCNA reported on his public activities seven times in March 2019, including observing military tests. The KCNA usually reports on his public appearances between three and five times each month.

As I remarked previously, it's really heart-breaking how some have been "worrying" (caution, this is a sarcasm, last time somebody did not get it) for the Fat Boy's health. Why they do not "worry" in the same way about other world leaders who are not so young and not so handsome?

It reminds me the "worry" many years ago about the health of Fidel (and in fact, his life), e.g. GW had been very worrying, spoke very emotionally about his health (and in fact, his life).

Nevertheless, old good Fidel had lived on few more years, his obituaries were filed away...

Left was only the "high moral" of our world leaders who are (should be) models for their subjects. After all, who can blame them (the subjects), that they are also in such similar "high moral" to other people who are not always of their same inclinations...

So happy that you find him young and handsome, I'm sure you'd be happy together, especially if you're a good boy . . . or else . . .

I find it a little strange that security agencies store poisons for some reason. Dipping the bullets?

Rumours swirl that North Korean leader is in a coma

South Korean media is reporting Kim Jong-un’s health has deteriorated so much that he is “in a coma”, forcing his sister to take power.

The health of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the repeated unexplained disappearances from public have South Korean media in a frenzy.
A former South Korean official has told local broadcasters that recent moves within North Korea to give Kim’s sister — Kim Yo Jong — unprecedented powers is the result of the dictator’s failing health.
Chang Song-min, a former aide to late-South Korean president Kim Dae-jung, alleged Kim is “in a coma”.
“I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he told South Korean media.
He noted that Kim’s sister, who is just 33, is poised to take the leadership in his absence.
“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period,” Chang said.

As reported by The Guardian over the weekend, Kim Yo Jong has been given partial authority to oversee general state affairs in a move that is seen as easing Kim’s workload.
CNN reports that South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) told the country’s politicians that Kim’s sister is now “de-facto second in command”.
The power shift also means other top-ranking officials in Pyongyang will be given greater autonomy, nine years after Kim took power.
North Korean state-run news agency KCNA reports that a meeting with the country’s top leaders is being organised amid concerns about the impact of the coronavirus.
Kim Yo Jong has shown she is ready to take on a greater role if rumours about her brother’s ill health are true. She has been outspoken in the past, including in July this year when she directly challenged the US.
Kim commented that meetings with the US and North Korea need not go ahead because the Trump organisation had shown it was unwilling to budge from its stance on the country’s nuclear weapons program.

“I am of the view that the DPRK-US summit talks is not needed this year and beyond, and for our part, it is not beneficial to us unless the U.S. shows decisive change in its stand,” Kim Yo-jong said, according to the Yonhap news agency.
“Moreover, I think that we should not accept an offer of the summit talks this year, no matter how badly the US wants it, far from talking about its possibility,” she said.
In April and May this year, the Supreme Leader’s disappearance from public life sparked wild rumours about his declining health.
He was not seen in public for three weeks before appearing at a factory in the city on Sunchon. The New York Times reports the rumours included fears Kim had undergone heart surgery and was not recovering well.

If she gets the job first thing she'll do is assert her control with a purge of any and all that might be perceived as a threat.

The chinkies prefer the buffer between them and South Korea, and Fatty keeps his foot on the collective North Korean neck.

The chinkies worst fears is a more progressive replacement leading to a united Korea and a westernised democracy right on their doorstep.

Fucking hell, they can't even handle the one in Hong Kong FFS. They are terrified of the message of freedom spreading.
