I wouldn't go that far. There are plenty of decent Thais out there - just like any other country.

Unfortunately, this virus has allowed us to see what many of them really think, especially in the tourist areas (if we didn't already know this before). The minister for health started it and the masses have followed. Hardly surprising.

You can bet here'll be a full on charm offensive when this episode subsides though.

^Yep and plenty of decent Chinese people as well. Can't blame them all for idiocy, often it has been the way they've been taught (government wise/culture).

Spotlight Thailand's facebook page has now been taken down too after a shitload of Farang complaints and they are now using a Spotlight Ratchada facebook page.
