I know Dil, Funny huh..Ya just can't make this shit up. Yet the cases of the virus remain in check.

I call it pure luck but I will say up here in Lampang, people are calling people out for not wearing masks and keeping their distance and having businesses open. Now all restaurants that remain open is to go only. No tables. Also you cannot enter any market without a mask. Of course the debate continues on about how much help they offer but whatever works.

On edit; may I state that is is 100 fkning hot degrees here

I'd imagine those programs were recorded way before the distancing rule came into existence. You can usually tell they've been prerecorded when the ca-bang crash sounds are played indicating to the audience that they have to laugh.

Call me skeptical, but I'd say Thailand are fudging those figures.
With all the cars off the roads at night, imagine how many are not dieing on the World's second deadliest roads
Now imagine some Thai thinking up "Hang on, lets put these Covid deaths down to RTA's"

I'd do well as a Thai minister I reckon

And remember; The first person to contract Covid outside of China was a Thai.

The biggest population of Chinese by far in SE Asia, live in Thailand.

How the Thais covid figures are so small, with a population three times the size of Malaysia seems a tad suspect.

We will get a better picture when the Farang come over enmasse in July on cheap flights and a weakened baht, contracting it through getting noshed by bargirls with breathing difficulties.

Expect a surge in balcony jumps, to cover those up

I don’t really know it’s a April Fools Joke, but the timing for that announcement is suspect.

There has been much conversation in recent weeks that some countries are considering alcohol bans because of the increased risk of domestic violence under lockdown.

very true. It is happening here. The reason why politicians here are worried about an extended lock down. death rates goes up and it's not from the virus. Domestic violence, poverty, alcohol and drug related illness etc etc

I'm sure you are right, it will be available via the back door to those who want it. However, there is little congregating going on around our village apart from the funeral I mentioned. In fact many have moved out on to the farms, where they are more isolated. Most are keeping themselves to themselves and will continue to do so until the virus dies down.

Obviously I can get booze if I really want to. I can drive to Udon or Nakon Phanom if necessary but no-one will be popping over for a drink if I do. Villagers are taking things quite seriously, being that most are getting on a bit...

So far here in my state of the US the liquor stores were declared "essential" so they could remain open. Wonder how long that will last...

There's a liquor ban in some parts of PI. Topper said in another thread that his province has banned it. I don't know if he was able to get from some small mom & pop stores. As with other places, it's to prevent gathering of ppl. Other cities in Metro Manila like Quezom city, Makati, Mandaluyong have also banned it.

Good thing I'm a bit of a prepper. Cheers!

Alcohol is a means to an end for some. If one province bans it, just cross the provincial border and stock up.
Panic buying ensues and the temperate might suffer.
    What will they ban next?
